  • ❗ EIM Board of Directors Approves $25M Member Distribution Payable in March 2025 ❗ At the Energy Insurance Mutual Board meeting on November 19th, EIM leadership recommended, and the Board of Directors approved, a member distribution of $25M for Members on record as of December 31, 2024, payable the first week of March 2025.  Each year the Mutual evaluates its performance and the adequacy of its surplus. Recommendations are made regarding the optimal deployment of any excess surplus to benefit the Membership. In 2024, Member support on premium, claim experience within budget expectations, and strong performance of investments has generated adequate surplus to provide a $25M distribution to Members. Additionally, EIM’s surplus, post-distribution, will allow further exploration of opportunities for the expansion of available capacity in areas of other Member needs (wildfire liability, property, cyber). We continue to look for opportunities to enhance the value of the Mutual to its members and look forward to communicating on these topics in the future. Please reach out to Peter Nadel if you have any questions. #eim #mutuals #insurance #riskmanagement

  • Hurricanes Helene and Milton have caused widespread damage and destruction in the Southeastern United States and directly impacted EIM’s office and many of our employees. EIM is committed to supporting our communities and helping those in need recover from the devastating impact of the storms. We are pleased to announce that we have made a $5,000 donation to the Florida Disaster Fund. This contribution represents our commitment to support the communities we live in and help them recover from the devastating impacts of recent disasters. The Florida Disaster Fund is the State of Florida’s official private fund established to assist communities as they respond to and recover during times of emergency or disaster. By supporting the Florida Disaster Fund, we are helping to ensure that those impacted receive the assistance they need to rebuild and recover. We encourage everyone to join us in supporting this vital cause and urge you to consider a donation to the Florida Disaster Fund, the American Red Cross, The Salvation Army, Americares, or any other local relief agency to help those in need. We extend our deepest gratitude to the emergency workers, volunteers, and EIM member line crews from around the country who have tirelessly dedicated their time and efforts to aid those in need and offer our heartfelt sympathies and unwavering support to those who are suffering in the wake of these storms. #FloridaStrong #CommunitySupport #DisasterRelief #EIMCares #EIM #riskmanagement #insurance

Strong storm headed our direction as everyone knows. Most of us are heading somewhere away from the storm. On the way to Beaufort, SC. I'm amazed at the number of utility trucks headed the opposite direction. The dedication, determination and collaboration of this industry to its customers cannot be underestimated. Thank you to all who make this happen - the planning and coordination must be unbelievable. Very thankful to be a part of such an important industry and provide the support EIM does. Thank you to all heading South to help. We are going to need every bit of help we can get.
