Walter Klein, MD, a gastroenterologist at Englewood Health, has known Grant Simons, MD, a cardiac electrophysiologist, for 40 years—first as fellow violinists in the Bergen Youth Orchestra, now as colleagues in medicine. But when Dr. Klein developed an abnormal heart rhythm, their friendship took on a new dimension, as he turned to Dr. Simons not just as a friend, but as his physician.
