About us
ENPULSION is a global reference for electric propulsion systems for nano- and microsatellites. The company is based in Schwechat, at Vienna Airport, and has locations in the USA and in Toulouse. Its products are based on the company’s proprietary Field-Emission Electric Propulsion (FEEP) technology, behind which are more than 30 years of research and development work in cooperation with the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Research Facility FOTEC. In its own semi-automated production facility ENPULSION manufactures the ENPULSION MICRO and the ENPULSION NANO Thruster (formerly IFM NANO) families – the only compact, scalable, and modular electric propulsion systems worldwide. The ENPULSION NANO Thruster became the first European electric propulsion thruster to fly on a constellation of satellites. As of April 2024, there are more than 200 ENPULSION active thrusters in space with more than 300 units delivered to customers. The company is ISO 9001:2015 quality certified for the development, testing, serial production, and distribution of space propulsion systems.

#WSW2024: Happy ongoing World Space Week everyone! 🥳🚀 🌱 This year, WSW2024 focuses on the topic of space for climate and explores how to best leverage space data for the monitoring of environmental factors. Satellite measurements play a crucial role in monitoring weather phenomena (e.g. El Niño), natural droughts, vegetation cycles, the ozone layer, solar fluctuations, snow cover, sea ice, ice sheets, ocean surface temperatures and biological activity, coastal zones, algal blooms, deforestation, forest fires, urban development, volcanic activity, tectonic plate motions and more. 🌐 Out of the 50 ECVs (Essential Climate Variable) identified by the Global Climate Observing System (GCOS) programme in the 90's, more than half use space-derived data. 👉 Here you will find an interactive map with all organized events around the globe: https://lnkd.in/ePtv45i World Space Week Association #Space4Climate #SpaceSustainability #Space4Good

#WSBW2024: the World Satellite Business Week is currently taking place in the splendide Hotel Westin in Paris, where space leaders gather and discuss the future of our thriving industry. 🛰️🚀 👉 Yesterday, Alexander Reissner participated in an exciting panel on "Leading Sub-systems Manufacturers" together with Thomas Sinn, CEO and Founder of Dcubed, Jun Asakawa, CEO and Co-Founder of Pale Blue, Nicolas CAPET, CEO and Founder of Anywaves, Kevin Dunne, CEO of ETL Systems , Lyon (Brad) King, CEO and Co-Founder of Orbion Space Technology Space, and brilliantly moderated by Blaine Curcio from Novaspace (Merger of Euroconsult & SpaceTec Partners). 👓 The panel was an engaging discussion on the role of leading sub-systems manufacturers from different angles - solar arrays/deployables, antennas, propulsion, RF components, and how they can achieve and maintain competitive edge amidst heightened competition by including the evolving needs of their customers. 🌌 Alexander stressed the importance of ensuring minimum maneuverability capacity on all spacecraft to minimize collision risk and to design rules of the road fit for efficient space traffic coordination taking into account the reality of today's fast moving industrial dynamics. In achieving this, there is a growing need to better frame and support high risk space innovation, notably in the small industry, to avoid over-speculation and the proliferation of non-commercially viable business models in niche and nascent markets. #Propulsion #SpaceSustainability #Subsystems
