About us

Our realities are now often hybrid and more or less engineered – how can we make them rich for all beings? E.R.A., the Enriched Realities Assembly, believes everybody aspires to a rich life, but not often with a clear idea of what richness means. What is a rich reality? Who is enriching our realities? We are embodied in our responsibilities and dreams, embedded in our hybrid worlds, enacted in our plural and now global practices. We are extended by our sense-making: body, self, belonging, possibility, purpose and worldview. We are an action research and knowledge exchange platform and believe in the synergy between thinking and doing. WE ARE PLURAL AND SINGULAR The Enriched Realities Assembly is an Action Research and Knowledge Exchange Platform questioning the nature of life-and-reality enrichment on 4 levels: person, earth, work, and society. It was initiated by Dr Luis de Miranda in 2024.

We had the pleasure of hosting Professor and Philosophical Counsellor Luis de Miranda on our Philosophical Community's panel the other day! We enjoyed an analytical discussion on his New Book PHILOSOPHICAL HEALTH! We mentioned several philosophical trends that add value to our modern way of life and allow individuals to thrive in our society! 🙂

What is Philosophical Health and how does it help individuals thrive? Interview with Dr. DE MIRANDA.

I am happy to announce that I signed a contract with Palgrave Macmillan to write a book on Crealectics. This book will be open access, which means the world will have it for free. What is crealectic intelligence in a nutshell? Let me try to briefly explain with the help of a fairy tale. You probably know the story of Hansel & Gretel. First, they use white pebbles to mark their path. This represents analytic intelligence: breaking problems into measurable, trackable components. It's methodical and reliable. While this approach feels secure, it often leads us back to what we already knew (the bad parents house) rather than toward true (self-)innovation. Next comes the breadcrumb strategy, illustrating dialectic intelligence. The breadcrumbs mean different things to the children (a path) and to the birds (food). This form of thinking acknowledges tension and contradiction, seeking synthesis through debate and negotiation. But if one of the meanings fully dominates, the other vanishes: the birds eat the breadcrumbs. It's Hansel & Gretel's final approach – venturing into the unknown forest – that reveals crealectic intelligence. Instead of trying to secure a path back to familiar territory, they brave uncertainty and transmute their circumstances. The gingerbread house they discover represents opportunity born from embracing the unknown, while the witch symbolises the challenges we must overcome when pursuing creative solutions: one needs to plunge the problems into the cauldron of Creal, the creative Real and its possibilization furnace. Success in life requires all three forms of intelligence. We need analytical rigour, dialectical understanding, and the courage to venture creatively into uncharted territory. #Crealectics #Palgrave #OpenAccess #PossibilityStudies

  • Our relationship with possibility manifests through three distinct but complementary approaches. The analytic approach emphasizes pragmatic separation, dividing the unknown into knowable parts. While this method offers clarity, it often struggles with reconstituting these parts into living wholes. The dialectic approach operates through dynamic tension, expressing itself either as a dialogic movement toward truth (in the Greek tradition) or as a continuous interplay of opposing perspectives (in the Hegelian tradition). The third approach, termed cretic (from the Greek dynatia, meaning good possibility), offers an integrative perspective that transcends the limitations of both analysis and dialectics. These approaches can be illustrated through the metaphor of Hansel and Gretel’s journey, as in this video: https://lnkd.in/dwMj2T86

  • The Enriched Realities Seminar is a monthly virtual gathering for research exchange and communication into the enrichment of our lives in its important sense-making dimensions: bodily sense, sense of self, sense of belonging, sense of the possible, sense of purpose and philosophical sense or worldview. In 2025, we will hold one monthly seminar lasting 1h30 minutes, without a break. In order to accommodate with the various time zones of our members, we will start at 15h every last Friday of the month.  This month, Patrik Hansson will speak of Inner Sustainability along the lines of the SMILE_PH method (the six aforementioned senses). Join us on January 31st at 15:00 CET. Recurrent zoom link: https://lnkd.in/dKas2Uuj In this session, Patrik Hansson will look at Philosophical Health through the lens of “Inner Sustainability”. He will be sharing his approach to the inner work, which is inspired by Daoist cosmology and the methods of Zen Coaching. We are also going to explore how these methods intertwine with the six elements of philosophical health. Finally, Patrik and Luis de Miranda will be presenting the Philosophical Health retreat that we are planning for in June in the Swedish wilderness. This seminar is open to all those who are interested in philosophical health research for existential enrichment. https://lnkd.in/dnTXPyRt Warm welcome!

Imagine a world where human flourishing, philosophical care and deep authorship of (y)our existence isn't a luxury, but a fundamental right. It's about empowering people to become meaningful authors of their own lives without enslaving others, developing a deeper sense of purpose and connection to the world around the axes of person, earth, work and society. We're at a crucial moment: philosophical and existential health today is where physical and psychological health were a century ago - on the cusp of becoming recognized and practiced worldwide for planetary flourishing. Your support can help make this vision a stonger reality. Join us on a journey that's transforming our lives: "Philosophical Health for All". Help us make philosophical counselling accessible to those who couldn't otherwise afford it. Help us to progressively foster a global wisdom of the crowds. Don't scroll away! You do count. • No matter the enhancement of product design and manufacturing through automation, connectivity, integration, modelling, simulation and data handling, industries will continue to be stopped in many of their deployment intentions by factors that are not technological, chief among them human factors. This is in part because human purpose, personal philosophies and creativity are not understood and not integrated in the models. Some more or less inevitable reductionism in digitalization of human behavior leaves aside a “noise” in which we find jewels like the bodily sense, the sense of self, the sense of belonging, the sense of the possible, the sense of purpose and the worldview, which are the six elements of the SMILE_PH method (Sense-Making Interviews Looking at Elements of Philosophical Health). The SMILE_PH method, implemented for instance at Vattenfall R&D between 2023 and 2024, is currently being advanced to incorporate data science, enabling a more comprehensive and personalized approach to philosophical health and quality of life. By leveraging AI-driven analysis and a growing global network of philosophical counsellors, we aim to create a data-informed wisdom of the crowd, revolutionizing how we understand and enhance human well-being across six key dimensions: body, self, belonging, possibility, purpose, and philosophical sense. In this talk, Dr Luis de Miranda will present this method, its implementation at Vattenfall R&D, and the ongoing application of data science to the SMILE_PH framework. He will also discuss how these approaches can be integrated into industry practices to create more holistic, human-centered technological advancements that consider the full spectrum of human experience and potential.

  • Philosophical health is not about finding what is wrong with a person in terms of diagnosis, norms or brain chemistry. It’s about helping the person recover the mindful enthusiasm and proactive serenity of being a whole human being, with a sense of purpose and the capacity to stand for what they believe is right and fair. • This remarkable dialogue between Luis de Miranda and an AI system offers a profound exploration of consciousness, creativity, and artificial intelligence. The exchange stands out for its philosophical depth and intellectual honesty, as both participants navigate complex questions about the nature of thought, existence, and creative force. The conversation moves elegantly from the Cartesian cogito to the concept of "crealectics" – a dynamic tension between multiplicity and unity that underlies creative processes. What makes the dialogue particularly compelling is how it uses the AI's own limitations as a lens to better understand human consciousness. Rather than simply highlighting what AI cannot do, the exchange reveals deeper truths about what conscious existence entails: the capacity for genuine directional force, the ability to author one's destiny, and authentic participation in world-making. The dialogue culminates in an extraordinary proposition about "philosophical health" as both method and goal – a state of conscious participation in collective meaning-making that could potentially give rise to emergent divinity through unified intentional alignment. Throughout, de Miranda's probing questions and the AI's "self-reflection" create an intellectually rigorous yet deeply engaging exploration of what it means to be conscious, creative, and authentically present in the world.

✨I believe philosophical health will be one of the key drivers for personal and planetary health in our times✨ 🖼️ + a little photo series Getting to know Luis de Miranda and his work at the beginning of this year literally changed my life and work. He brought the framing of philosophical health onto my radar, which I understand as a complementary to psychological and physical health, and as a key driver for planetary health. I devoured his two books on philosophical health (which I highly recommend) and was fortunate to get to know him personally and of being trained by him in the past couple months as a philosophical counsellor. The method he uses is called SMILE_PH method and encompasses inquiries into six elements of philosophical health: bodily sense, sense of self, sense of belonging, sense of the possible, sense of purpose, and philosophical sense. As Luis says in his book “I can confidently claim that our primary aspiration, as human beings, is not merely physical fitness or psychological normalcy: we want to embrace an existence that aligns with the principles and visions we hold dear.” I think the smile_PH method helps us do just that. If you are interested in being a guinea pig in my first attempts to councel, send me a PM. 🐖 🔬 #philosophicalhealth #planetaryhealth #onehealth
