🌱On Monday, September 30th, the ENSNARE Solution project was presented as a new approach to building renovation during the Green Facility Specialist training course organized by IFMA Italia in Milan. Alessandro Piccinini and Simone Buffa from R2M Solution introduced innovative methodologies and solutions for more efficient and #sustainable #energy management in buildings. 🗝 Key technologies presented included Scan to BIM, Digital Twins, Artificial Intelligence for automating HVAC systems, and Life-Cycle Assessment. Case studies were shared from projects like Auto-DAN Project and ENSNARE, which develop performance monitoring platforms to improve building envelope renovation, as well as #Stepwise and #EnergyPoverty0, which employ digital twins to facilitate energy transition and reduce energy poverty. On September 25, ENSNARE hosted an insightful workshop, "Navigating the Shades of Industrialized Deep Energy Retrofit: Strategies for a Sustainable EU Building Stock" at #SustainablePlaces2024! 🌍 Together with six leading EU projects- BuildUPspeed, GreeNest project, Giga Regio Factory, OneClickRENO, PLURAL, and INFINITE project—we delved into innovative strategies for deep retrofits, focusing on standardization, modularity, and financial models to drive sustainable building renovations across Europe. Key discussion points: 🔹 Cutting-edge approaches for retrofitting: focusing on how to leverage standardization, modularity, and technological innovation to simplify renovation processes. 🔹 Collaborative approaches & regional adaptation: examining the role of local supply chains, pop-up factories, and decision-making tools to ensure that solutions are adaptable across different regions. 🔹 Market activation & policy implications: discussing financial instruments, policy frameworks, and strategies needed to drive large-scale adoption of industrialized solutions. 💡Our open debate identified several enablers for upscaling innovative solutions: - Streamlining standardization while maintaining regional flexibility. - Promoting financial mechanisms to support stakeholders in overcoming upfront costs. - Fostering collaborative networks and knowledge-sharing at local, national, and European levels.
