Tables in videos now available at Entiendo 💪
Imagine bringing data tables to life in a format that’s not only engaging but easy for students and professionals alike to understand.
Whether it’s illustrating financial data, explaining historical events, or talking about programming languages, tables are powerful—now, we’re making them come alive at Entiendo (Neo ‘23)!
In true Entiendo fashion, we used our own technology to create a video showcasing this new update! Link to the video in the comments.
This is just one of the many updates we have in store. Stay tuned!

I trusted my intuition -- and got it wrong 😩
Something I'm learning while building Entiendo (Neo ‘23) is the importance of data-driven decisions. Intuition is valuable, but when data points you in a different direction, it’s worth paying attention.
It rhymed! Ba dum tss 🥁
Ahem…as I was saying
Recently, data helped us make a small yet impactful change in our UI.
As a quick reminder, Entiendo takes information (pdf, text) and allows people to learn from it in the format that works for them -- whether this is through videos, podcasts, etc. The screenshot below shows one of our “workspaces,” where users generate their learning materials.
The original design (left) was intended to clearly showcase all our available formats (yellow rectangle), emphasizing our versatility.
Or so we thought.
Once we released our beta, we noticed many users only used the default text format and didn’t explore other options.
This was a big problem—they didn't get to experience the "magic" of Entiendo.
After reaching out to some of them, we discovered that many either didn’t notice the format options on the right or didn’t realize they were part of the generation process.
We had to fix this.
After some brainstorming, Diego Sotomayor Rios suggested an alternative view where both the input and the format choice are in the same place (shown on the right).
It looks like a small change, but so far it has caused a 50% improvement on how many people understand our platform right away! I'd call that a win. Thanks for that Diego!
Of course, nothing is final. Maybe we'll end up changing this design too.
Only data will tell.

When I was a kid, I thought I was dumb
While growing up, I had difficulties with humanities subjects (history, geography, you name it). For the longest time I had the idea that I was "too dumb for this" and simply didn't have what it takes to learn such things. As you can imagine, this had a considerable negative impact on my self-esteem.
Now, I realize I was wrong.
It's not that I couldn't learn such things. The problem was that they were never presented in a way that was right for me. I was given readings that I never wanted to read and never understood because my brain couldn't process information in that way.
...and now, after talking to hundreds of students and teachers, I know I'm not the only one who feels this way.
For the longest time we've had to adapt to the learning materials available.
I think it's time for learning materials to adapt to us.
That's exactly what we're trying to do at Entiendo (Neo ‘23), and that's why I'm extremely happy to announce that our beta version is out! You can try it out at https://entiendo.ai
We expect this version to have some errors and not be perfect but we're really excited to share it. Let me know what you think, my DMs are open
