❄️🌈✨Winter solstice magic meets queer joy in the softest kind of chaos: a snowball fight. Sometimes, the best way to shake off the weight of seasonal slumps is to bundle up, step outside, and let yourself play! Even when the days are short and the cold feels heavy, there’s light in movement, laughter, and moments shared with people who make you feel at home. Here’s to honoring the season, embracing joy, and finding warmth in the little things. #WinterSolstice #QueerJoy #SeasonalSelfCare #SnowballFightMagic #GetOutsideAndPlay #Envision:You #QueerJoy #HappyWinterSoltice #MentalHealth #Colorado #Denver #LGBTQIA #SnowballFight #MentalWellness #SelfCare #CozyColorado [Video Description: The video captures employes of Envision:You engaging in a snowball fight. What scripts do you use to ask for help or to set boundaries? We recommend reading (or listening) to “Set Boundaries, Find Peace” by @nedratawwab #BreakTheStigma #MentalHealthAwareness #MentalHealthIsHealth #MentalHealthMatters #YouAreNotAlone #EnvisionYou #HolidayCoping #HolidayHealthTips #LGBTQHealth #SetBoundaries #HolidayBlues [Image 1 description: [red and green holiday ornaments line the top of a cream colored page, gray snowflakes fall down the side while red, yellow, and green strings of lights line the bottom of the page]. Tips for Holiday Coping. 1. Pick a safe person: have one (or a few) folks on standy to discuss anything challenging coming up, especially if you’re in recovery or going into an event space. A safe person can even be a pet, in a pinch! This will help you feel connected. 2. Mentally exit, mindfully: keep yourself separate from conversations that might focus only on you, if you don’t want that. Focus on hobbies (new or old) to bring joy. This could be your book stack collecting dust, your saved podcast, a forgotten instrument, or craft project. 3. Practice boundaries & requests: plan your verbal boundaries if you anticipate tough conversations - having scripts is extremely helpful. If it’s hard to ask for help, what specific things might feel good to receive? Prepare by writing it down or saying it out loud. 4. Give yourself space to say no: your mental health will thank you by being specific with what you can and cannot make space for. Holidays can be a big time of social and financial pressure - we thrive when we curate what feels right for each of us. End description.]
