Why do hundreds of people participate in the Winter Walk every year? Because it's a morning where people with epilepsy and their loved ones can be surrounded by others who care and understand their situation. Because we celebrate the strength of those effected by epilepsy. Because we're all walking to fight the stigma and help our neighbors in NE Ohio living with epilepsy get access to the support they need to be their best selves. Tell us why you walk in the comments! We hope you'll join us Jan. 25th! Register here: https://lnkd.in/gDbmCARY

9 teams have already raised a total of over $3,600 for Winter Walk, and we're still over a month away from the event! Of these awesome teams, four have raised over $400! We see you, and we appreciate you! On the day of the event, the top fundraising team and the team with the most members will be presented awards for their dedication. Register today! Whether you're just bringing yourself, or part of a team! https://lnkd.in/ga9t8MRj All funds raised for the walk go right back into NE Ohio, helping us provide the services and education needed to help people with epilepsy live happier, healthier, and more independent lives.

Seizure first aid tells us to time seizures and call 911 after 5 minutes or the person doesn't return to their normal self, but do you know why? Learn the warning signs and share, so we can be ready in an emergency. Learn more about status epilepticus at: https://lnkd.in/eVs_xhZ2

At the Epilepsy Association, our clients are family, and family means celebrating the holidays together! We had a great time with those who came out to our annual Client Seminar and Christmas party! EA clients and staff started off the afternoon by making a festive craft, then Community Programming Manager Taylor Miller delivered an excellent presentation on memory written by occupational therapist Beth Norton of University Hospitals. If your epilepsy is causing major memory issues or challenges in your daily life, call the Epilepsy Association at (216)-579-1330 to get a referral for a healthcare specialist that can help.
