Communication is so important. What we can learn from Metra delays.
Providing cybersecurity expertise, business-friendly communication, and actionable advice to companies that value protecting their information systems and data assets against cyber-threats.
The Microsoft outage last week reminded me of something I learned just before COVID while riding the train. Metra did something that surprised me and drove home the important of doing three things: 1. Communicate early 2. Communication useful information 3. Establish a communication cadence Whether or not Metra still practices this is unknown to me (I rarely ride the train anymore). Nevertheless, these three practices are especially critical during unplanned, unpleasant events when people tend to fill the information void with their own notions about what's happening. #communication #microsoft
