  • It is that time of year again - the time when parents get busy doing school shopping for their kids. In the hustle and bustle about getting stationeries and supplies, every now and then, they forget to make an appointment for their kid who needs to be on medications in order to have a great semester. Maybe your child is on a stimulant and took a break in the Summer but needs to get back on his medication probably a week before school starts or definitely on Day 1, so that he makes a good first impression. If you have not made an appointment yet for you or your student, you may be running out of time. Luckily, we have openings here at Essential Care Centers and may be able to see you sooner than later. Call 612.441.2024 or you may schedule your schedule yourself on our website: https://lnkd.in/gZ76_Jcj

If you haven’t heard of the death of Jessica Pettway yet, it’s a heartbreaking reminder of the urgent need to address racial disparities in healthcare in the United States. At 36 years old, she passed away after being misdiagnosed with fibroids. Black women, like Jessica, are disproportionately affected by cervical cancer, facing hurdles in obtaining timely diagnoses. It’s so so important to advocate for ourselves and others. Get vaccinated, get tested, and demand thorough care. Jessica’s story has to spark change.  #healthcareonlinkedin #racialbiasinmedicine #joelbervell #medicalmythbuster #jessicapettway

  • Spring is in the air! I know, I know... I am in Minnesota and the first week of March has not been the historical period of dancing "Spring", but we had an atypical February (excluding the last 4 days). Spring is nature's way of announcing that life goes on. Regardless of the quietude and often depressive weight of Winter, life starts again in Spring: the snow thaws, the ground turns to soil that nurtures growth of plants, flowers, fruits - and hope is in the air. Rebirth, regeneration. Spring is here. However, not everyone is ready to celebrate the change in the weather, or the warm climate approaching. There are those among us for whom Spring is a reminder of traumas past, people they lost, and issues they are not ready to deal with. There may be others who may still be depressed regardless of the weather, and still some who Spring is a reminder of their loneliness or their need to talk to someone about what's bothering them. For these people, we are here. You may call or text 612.441.2024 to set up a free consultation or an intake assessment to see how we can work together to help you on your journey. You can also check our website where you may be able to schedule yourself at a time of your earliest convenience. https://lnkd.in/gZ76_Jcj
