The Essential Minerals Association (EMA), with support from partners BSI Group and Wood Mackenzie, has formed the Minerals Supply Chain Coalition (MSCC) to provide industry and businesses with timely and relevant information on issues surrounding the complex ecosystem of minerals supply chains. “As we saw during the pandemic, supply chains around the world are incredibly vulnerable to any sort of disruption,” said Chris Greissing, EMA president. “The United States relies on imports for more than half of our consumption of nearly 50 mineral commodities. The Minerals Supply Chain Coalition will bring together the minerals industry and the businesses that rely on minerals to develop resources and find policy solutions that will strengthen supply chain resiliency.” Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eWrGGbXP Essential Minerals Association #EnergyNews #MineralNews #EMA

We'd like to give a warm welcome to the team at Petro-Canada Lubricants, who joined EMA this year. We're excited to work with you as we continue to grow the minerals industry!
Petro-Canada Lubricants is proud to be a new member of the Essential Minerals Association (EMA), an organization that represents the interests of companies that mine or process minerals critical to various industries. We look forward to working with the EMA to contribute to the global Mining community. Being a pioneer in the mining industry, we understand that your equipment has to perform on the surface or underground, in some of the world's toughest conditions. We all might dream about a white Christmas, but without salt we'd have a hard time seeing our family and friends if the roads were covered with snow and ice. Salt's unique chemistry allows it to lower the freezing point of water to melt snow and ice - and even prevent it from forming in the first place! EMA commends the bipartisan passage of the Good Samaritan Legislation that provides for a pilot permitting program under the Environmental Protection Agency to allow cleanup projects on federal lands to move forward more easily in an effort to improve water quality in and around these sites. We urge President Biden to sign this legislation into law as soon as possible.

We talk a lot about how #MineralsMakeItHappen, but we wouldn't have any minerals without the thousands of miners who work every day to ensure we can provide essential minerals that are used in our daily lives every day. So, today - on National Miners Day - we say THANK YOU for making it happen! #nationalminersday #mining #minerals

What's behind the couple who found $80k in a safe in New York City? The hobbyists pulling scooters and bikes out of waterways around the country? Even the fisherman who found a bag of grenades in the U.K.? It's the powerful rare earth element neodymium, and it's the strongest metal known on earth! Neodymium is powering the magnet fishing hobby that's become very popular over the last several years. Neodymium-iron-boron magnets are also used in smartphone, electric vehicles, medical and industrial lasers, wind turbines, missile guidance systems, and as a colorant in ceramics and glass.
