Ethiopian Medical Association Gondar branch held the first capacity-building program (CBP) in collaboration with the University of Gondar CPD training center for our members. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Dr Martha for dedicating her time, energy and knowledge to sharing her experience and giving training to our members on proposal writing. #Staytuned for the upcoming training in the near future with Dr Martha.

#Somone of your Blood type is waiting for your donation 🩸 As most of you know, blood is one of the most life-saving gifts a person can give and an act of kindness. Blood scarcity often occurs across the nation from time to time. Understanding this, EMA took the initiative to organize a Blood Donation Program at the renowned University of Gondar Specialized Hospital, in cooperation with the Blood Bank. The event started on Monday, December 23, 2024, and lasted for one week. During this time, 125 units of blood were collected. Most of the hospital staff participated in the event, including doctors, nurses, laboratory technicians, students, and others. Additionally, patient attendants also donated blood. We are grateful to everyone who donated their priceless blood to those in need. Your contribution doesn't just save lives—it creates hope for families and communities. All eligible donors are welcome to participate in future blood donation events to make an even greater impact.

🌟 Empowering the Next Generation of Medical Professionals 🌟 This past Saturday (Nov16,2024), the Ethiopian Medical Student Association (EMSA) of Gondar hosted an inspiring and meaningful handover ceremony. EMSA executive leaders who have been serving for the past 2 years have passed down the torch for the coming new work force. EMSA president Dr. Hassen gave speech and highlighted the various achievements and initiatives led by former EMSA members, including exchange programs, research papers, blood donation, voluntary work in different charity organization and collaborative activities that have enriched the learning and growth of medical students. The president of Ethiopian Medical Association of Gondar branch Dr. Agengnhu and the vise president Dr. Samrawit were guest on the behalf of EMA. Dr. Agengnhu, president of EMA, shared his wisdom and motivation through an impactful speech that left everyone energized and ready to take on new challenges, demonstrating the strong bond and continuous support between the two organizations. Kudos to everyone who contributed to making this event a success!
