The future of public relations and strategic communication research in Europe
About us
EUNES, a network by the European Public Relations Education and Research Associations (EUPRERA), is dedicated to the early- and mid-career researchers in communications (prospective graduate students, graduate students, post docs, non-tenured/tenured-tracked PhDs, adjuncts). The network provides support to early-and mid-career scholars from all backgrounds, affiliations, and locations who work in public relations and strategic communication fields. The goal of EUNES is to bring early-career and mid-career scholars in public relations and strategic communication together, to create and maintain lines of communication with scholars across Europe, to promote core values of solidarity, peace, equality and respect, to work on new ideas for research and teaching and to create an umbrella for skills development initiatives and future projects that are related to the study and analysis of public relations and strategic communication. 1. EUNES serves as a supportive platform for early- and mid-career researchers to share experiences on issues of their professional development. 2. EUNES serves as an open platform for international and interdisciplinary connections among early-and mid-career scholars. 3. EUNES facilitates mutual learning among early-and mid-career scholars. 4. EUNES facilitates intergenerational knowledge and skill-sharing.

📢 Monday Manuscript Madness: Monday 9-11 AM! 📢 Join us this Monday from 9:00 to 11:00 AM for our legendary online writing session—where productivity might happen, and WiFi issues definitely will. Expect: ✅ A supportive (and slightly sleep-deprived) writing crew ✅ The sweet sound of frantic typing (or existential sighing) ✅ Breakout discussions on real issues like “Why is my reference manager plotting against me?” ✅ A high-stakes game of “Who forgot to unmute?” BYO: coffee, snacks, and the illusion of control over your deadlines. See you there! (Unless you forget and panic-join at 10:45—no judgment.) P.S. I am not a cat 😹

Great to see this idea blossoming: In the past few years, and in collaboration with the European Network of Emerging Scholars (EUNES) and the Northern Advanced Research Training Initiative (NARTI), we have organized #writing #retreats to support scholars in strategic communication research in making progress with demanding projects and advance manuscripts towards publication. I am happy to share that Andrea Gutzeit is now taking this initiative forward to make the writing retreats available more often and to more scholars — also beyond our community of #communication academics. To make this happen, Andrea will collaborate with the network on Writing for Research and Academic Practice (WRAP). More information: www.academic-offsite.com. If interested, please get in touch with Andrea and share this with anyone you might feel would be interested in participating in a writing retreat. -> Academic Offsite Andrea has also agreed to keep supporting our retreats for #strategic #communication researchers, which Dr. Melanie Malczok, Rickard Andersson, Hana Moravcová, and I will keep alive for our community. We strive to offer one of these retreats per year. DM any of us if you are interested and we will keep you posted.
