We are excited to announce that the inaugural Asia-Pacific Society for Prevention Research (APSPR) conference is being held from 2 to 4pm AEDT this Thursday, 21 November! The hybrid event will be held in person in Melbourne (with afternoon tea) and online. The event is sponsored by Survey Design and Analysis Services Pty Ltd, the Stata suppliers to Australia. At this launch event, we will formally establish the APSPR, which aims to foster collaboration in prevention science and research in our region. The mission of the APSPR is to advance research on the aetiology and prevention of health and behavioural problems in the Asia–Pacific region. We seek to promote and encourage collaboration among prevention researchers, students, researchers, practitioners and policymakers, and to develop new opportunities to share knowledge and raise the profile of prevention activities. Förra veckan spenderades på European Society for Prevention Research (EUSPR) ´s årliga konferens. En fantastisk möjlighet att lära och inspireras av kollegor från runt om i världen. Konferensens tema var "Prevention in and with communities", och i sitt keynote-tal presenterade professor John Toumbourou från Deakin University i Australien den goda evidens som finns för Communities that care (CTC).
