ZOOZ Power, which provides flywheel-based power boosters and energy management systems for enabling ultra-fast EV charging solutions, has shipped its first power-boosting system, the ZOOZTER-100, to China. School teachers and EV drivers can charge their electric cars with 1,407 sockets now outside schools and colleges in the UK. The chargers have been fitted at UK schools since March last year, due to to £3m from the Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS). The new chargepoints at schools follow over 59,000 workplace charging sockets that the scheme has funded since 2016. In addition to schools, the workplace charging scheme supported a further 6,500 sockets in workplace car parks in 2024. #EVcharging https://lnkd.in/gzbAjQA2

FASTNED MOVES INTO ITALY: European fast-charging company Fastned has opened its first #EVcharging station in Italy. The station is located at the Truck Park Brescia Est rest area along the busy A4 highway between Brescia and Padova, a key artery across the north of the country. Eight charging points will initially be available for EV drivers, making this the largest EV charging station so far on the A4 highway network. Fastned says it aims to open 1,000 stations across Europe by 2030. With over 340 stations currently operational, the company’s first station in Italy means Fastned now offers fast-charging to drivers in eight countries. https://lnkd.in/eC-yys8B

EU AND INDIA LINK ON EV CHARGING: The first India-EU workshop on EV charging technology has been held in Pune, India under the EU-India Trade and Technology Council (TTC) working group on green and clean energy technologies. NI FAST CHARGING HUB: Ultra-rapid EV charging company Fastned has opened Northern Ireland’s fastest EV charging hub in Banbridge, marking an important step in NI’s essential need to speed up charging capacity. Fastned’s brand new ultra-rapid (400kW) charging hub in Banbridge is now Northern Ireland’s fastest charging hub and the company’s first in the region. Twelve charging bays will offer electric drivers up to 100 miles of charge in 5 minutes, using 100% renewable energy. Investors include INVERSIONES FINANCIERAS PERSEO SL (Iberdrola’s subsidiary), Orilla Asset Management, and Enric Asuncionón, CEO and co-founder. FRENCH EV CHARGING GIANTS LINK UP: Thirteen major players in the EV charging sector are joining forces to create Charge France, an association focused on structuring the ecosystem of charging infrastructure operators in France. The companies, which have already invested over €1bn in developing public #EVcharging infrastructure, are now collectively committing to invest an additional €3bn by 2028.Charge France consists of Allego, Atlante, ChargePoint, ChargeGuru/Zeplug, DRIVECO, Electra, e-Totem, ENGIE Vianeo, Fastned, IONITY, IZIVIA - Groupe EDF, Powerdot, and Zunder. Collectively, these operators oversee more than 2,000 ultra-fast charging stations (providing over 100kW, allowing a full charge in 20 to 40 minutes), with a total of over 10,000 ultra-fast charging points. https://lnkd.in/eNgPPbJs
