Scope
As a Data Analyst at Everside, you will actively contribute to the investment & operations team by taking ownership of data collection and refinement functions, supporting the firm's quarterly reporting efforts. Being the inaugural employee in this role, the successful candidate must be a self-starter capable of taking initiative with limited oversight. The ideal candidate will preferably have prior experience in a data management role with a buy-side firm & possess strong technical skills.
Responsibilities
*Analyzing investment related data to answer key questions from internal & external stakeholders including executive management, internal team members & investors.
*Develop data visualization to illustrate performance of the portfolio companies & help drive conversations with Limited Partners
*Evaluate investment & portfolio performance across Everside's primaries, secondaries & direct verticals to identify key trends.
*Assist the investment & operations teams by owning the data collection & refinement functions to support the firm's quarterly reporting efforts. The candidate is expected to optimize & execute procedures & controls for gathering data while also ensuring the accuracy & reliability of the information.
*Oversee & manage Everside's reporting models & data management systems & identify areas where data & technology can increase efficiencies.
*Be responsible for managing our third-party reporting & analytics tool, making recommendations for improvements, contributing to our roadmap for the data we capture & leverage in our analytics, & coding & rolling out new features.
Qualifications
*Bachelor's Degree (Quantitative field such as computer science or information technology preferred).
*The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in a data-driven role from a reputable institution (private equity, private credit and asset management are a plus).
*Basic understanding of finance & accounting fundamentals.
*Prior experience with Salesforce/Altvia/AIM is a plus.
*Outstanding technical capabilities. Knowledge of Excel, VBA, SQL are a must. Prior experience with Salesforce Object Query Language SOQL is a plus.
* Experience with BI tools (Tableau, UiPath or similar).
