📊 According to new research by EverTrue’s Principal Data Analyst Michael Brucek, major gift donor participation hit a record high in 2024, even as overall donor counts fluctuated. This growth highlights how fundraising is leaning more on high-value donors to drive success. The trend was widespread, with two-thirds of institutions seeing an uptick in major gift participation, and about one-third outpacing the industry average for growth. However, Mike notes, institutions must be cautious about over-reliance on a shrinking pool of major donors.
