Meta reported our Q3 2024 Earnings today and, as Mark noted, it was another good quarter, with strong product momentum and business performance, including the news that more than 3.2 billion people use at least one of our apps each day. A few more highlights: ⬆️ More than 1 million advertisers have used our GenAI creative tools, with more than 15 million ads created 🚀 Rapid adoption of MetaAI, with more than 500M monthly actives 📞 Over 2 billion WhatsApp calls are made globally every day ( 🇺🇸 = one of the fastest growing countries!) 🧵 Threads community continues to grow, with almost 275 million monthly actives & 1 million sign-ups per day 📈 Our AI-driven feed & video recommendations have led to an 8% increase in time spent on Facebook and 6% increase on Instagram this year alone We also saw some important launches this quarter, from Teen Accounts (which add built-in protections that limit who teens can message and what content they can see) to welcoming our newest mixed reality headset, the Quest 3S. Ratan Tata had redefined what it means to lead with purpose. I was in Mumbai during the 26/11 attack. The city of #Mumbai was stunned, and the iconic #Tajhotel had been at the center of the tragedy. The way Ratan Tata handled the aftermath was touching, humbling and perhaps unparalleled. He ensured that his employees who and their children would be looked after, but I remember reading that the Tata group compensated all the vendors who used to have shops outside the Taj hotel.
