Children from financially challenged families often miss important developmental opportunities due to limited resources, time, or awareness in the household. As our community continues to expand, the need for children to have adequate developmental opportunities also grows. At the heart of our mission lies a steadfast commitment to the well-being and prosperity of the NWA community. That’s why we have created the Tornado Relief Fund to assist people across the area who were affected by the May tornado. Nearly a month has passed since the tornado struck, and our community is rebuilding. Our support ranges from aiding with repairs and damage to providing temporary housing for families in Benton County and neighboring areas. Through the Benton County Relief Fund, we have provided aid to individuals directly impacted by the devastating tornadoes in NWA. Client needs have come in from all over the county and have been a wide range of needs. From hotel costs, damage and repair assistance, to temporary housing – our team has stepped up tremendously to get these folks the help they need. Additionally, we have offered financial aid to 15 organizations affected by the storms. In answer to this, the Benton County Relief Fund has been established to offer a centralized and local platform for those wishing to contribute. This fund aims to offer immediate financial aid to households affected by the disaster. It will also provide tailored resource plans to connect them with a wide range of resources promptly, ensuring that all their needs are met swiftly. Additionally, the fund will assist local service providers in their relief endeavors for Benton County and its communities. To everyone affected by the devastating tornado in Northwest Arkansas, we offer our unwavering support and dedication to assisting you. It has been inspiring to witness our community unite regardless of differences in background, race, gender, or socioeconomic status. This week, we officially broke ground at McAuley Place, a new rental development aimed at providing workforce housing! 🙌 This 120-unit affordable housing development will house Bentonville Schools teachers and staff, as well as broader workforce in Bentonville. Alongside the groundbreaking of McAuley Place, we are honored to introduce our new innovative program: Home Ownership Mutual Equity Solutions, or HOMES. This program, which includes 40 single-family cottages within McAuley Place, is set to transform the landscape of home ownership for educators. We are investing in the children and future of Bentonville through teachers’ well-being and housing. This is just the beginning of stable housing in Northwest Arkansas, and we need your support. The affordable housing crisis is a pressing issue across many growing regions, including Northwest Arkansas. As highlighted in a recent SFGATE article, we at Excellerate Foundation have been actively addressing this challenge through a variety of initiatives. These efforts are crucial as they aim to provide stability and security for many who are affected by the rising cost of living – most especially our workforces across education, healthcare, food service, retail, and city and county government.
