Humans learn best by doing. That’s why we’re called Experience Institute. Since 2012, Experience Institute has been at the forefront of designing transformational workplace learning programs that help individuals and teams unlock their full potential. Our mission is to reignite motivation and foster continuous growth at work. We achieve this through our signature experiential learning approach, Leaps, which empowers learners to develop critical skills, step out of their comfort zones, and make meaningful contributions. Our programs start with interactive workshops, available both in-person and virtually, where employees build essential skills and adopt growth-oriented mindsets. Next, they take on a self-directed project – called a Leap – to apply their learning directly to real-world challenges in their work environment. Each program concludes with a reflection phase to solidify lessons, celebrate breakthroughs, and ensure lasting impact.   • We're loving following along with Erin Murphy's takeaways from the CLO Exchange. What hard skills you've seen perish these last few years?

    Designing and Delivering Transformative Experiences

    The average lifespan of a hard skill is just two years. That’s why meta-skills like creativity, adaptability, and critical thinking are taking center stage. At the CLO Exchange, countless Chief Learning Officers emphasized this point: learning how to learn is the foundation for everything else. Hearing this was music to my ears. 🥁 When sharing takeaways with my team, I’d say our Leaps programs are nailing the "learning how to learn" thing—so we’re on the right track. ✅ Looking ahead to 2025, I plan to double down by asking our partners even more explicitly about the meta-skills and company values we can build into our programs to better support their goals. For example, if we’re teaching pitching and presenting, a business focused on prioritizing creativity and authenticity might need a different approach than one with care and collaboration as core values and goals. Tailoring our programs to foster skills, meta-skills, and values in this way is a win-win—for the learners and their organizations. Now that I write this, it seems kind of like a duh moment, but felt like an aha to me. What say you?
