Companies are cramming AI into everything from SaaS to pet bowls (yes, really), but employees aren't buying the hype. Recent surveys paint a stark picture of employee skepticism about artificial intelligence: - 69% doubt AI will boost their work performance - 62% don't believe it will reduce workload - 34% fear replacement by bots - 30% worry about job competition and salary impacts AI's current "wow" phase isn't translating to results. According to Gartner, despite massive corporate investment, ROI on AI is down across the board. Are you being watched while you work? Probably. A recent report from Software Finder found that 1 in 5 workers are being surveilled by their bosses As you can imagine, this isn’t popular. - 73% of those who are being tracked are more likely to distrust their employer. - 36% of monitored employees are actively job hunting - double the rate (18%) of untracked workers. - A revealing 17% of tracked employees admit to deploying "mouse jigglers” (incredible name) to get around programs that track activity. - The bigger the company, the more likely the surveillance: 25% of large firms, 23% at medium companies, 18% at small companies, and 8% at “micro-firms”. And yet, 50% of managers using tracking software plan to expand their surveillance infrastructure in the coming year. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/g2jkqJip

A major wake-up call if you're managing healthcare data systems, to audit those security protocols. Sophos bought Secureworks for $859m: https://lnkd.in/gUDFzujK The same way you and I buy burritos, some folks buy companies. Stripe acquired Bridge: https://lnkd.in/gSHGVZQP It only cost $1.1b to acquire the stablecoin company. It’s not like crypto has ever had a problem with overvaluation, right?
