Today, team members from the corporate office gathered for an in-person meeting to officially kick off the new year. Extra Space Storage leaders presented on various topics including welcoming new hires, celebrating years of service, providing an Accounting update, highlighting company values, giving a Marketing update, and finally, listening to the CEO's top priorities for 2025. It's always a pleasure being a part of these meetings to hear what's top of mind and ask any questions at the end. Needless to say, we're ready for another great year! Let's go, #TeamExtraSpace! 👏

A total of 37 new stores were added to our platform in November including this beautiful, Connecticut property in partnership with dSA Capital LLC. This is dSA Capital’s first self storage development. They are a New York metropolitan-based developer who specializes in ground-up office spaces, warehouses, and multifamily projects. We are excited to partner with them on their new venture. "Our first month's operation exceeded our lease-up projections and confirmed our assessment of demand. However, our high-visibility location and building aesthetics greatly contributed to our lease-up results, especially considering our 'off-season' opening," says Mark de Stefanis, Managing Partner of dSA Capital LLC. We are eager to get this site leased up and welcome new customers in need of secure and convenient storage options. Congratulations to Josh Lemon, this year's recipient of our Lynne Lybbert Award! Josh is the Director of National Procurement at Extra Space Storage and has been for the past six years. The award is named after Lynne Lybbert – a past Extra Space employee who passed unexpectedly over a decade ago. She was the epitome of our Extra Space values of Integrity, Teamwork, Passion, and Excellence. Lynne was completely dedicated to her job, her friends, and her family. Those who knew her remember her as someone who was truly good and honorable. Award recipients are employees who carry on that legacy. Mitchell Pope, SVP of Operations Support, SVP of Operations Support and Matt Herrington, COO presented Josh with the award, and shared the following: “Those who collaborate with him appreciate his willingness to take on additional work without complaint—even if the work isn’t closely related to his core responsibilities. He is professional, patient, and accomplishes his work without ego or seeking fanfare or accolades. He truly makes Extra Space a great place to work and we are lucky to have him on our team."
