🚩We carried out this workshop thanks to the coordination of Joselyn Grijalva Solano Environmental educator and Isabela Island liaison of the Charles Darwin Foundation In this workshop, the young members of the science club participated in learning about the global plastic problem thanks to the report five years from science to solutions carried out by the Galapagos Conservation Trust and the Galapagos National Park. 📲They learned in detail and installed the Eyesea application to record ocean trash in their next activities. We carry out practices in the coastal cleaning activity that we carry out for three km. 📟They learned about GPS Management and used the format for coastal cleaning garbage registration. Baltra Island Marinos Beach #Galapagos Incredible experience with 20 students from Galo Plaza School on Baltra Island, Galapagos! Thanks to the invitation of the Naveducando Fundación Civil , and their Galapagos Infinito program, we were able to contribute information about plastic pollution in the oceans and the use of Eyesea technology. We spent the day exploring the beach, learning about plastic pollution, and how EYESEA technology can help us protect our oceans. These amazing young people even conducted a beach cleanup and documented their findings. ⛵️Meet Rafael Gallardo, a Galapagos native who loves the sea and his community, Rafael contributes with his sailboat #ElBallenato (The Whale Calf) to use it as an oceanic classroom in environmental education projects of "Naveducando Civil Foundation" and to connect the community of Santa Cruz with the ocean through the project "El Mar Nos Conecta (The Sea Connects Us)" by Nico Vera from the Frente Insular RMG. Our Ambassador of Eyesea and ocean witness Alberto Andrade, during his ocean education and exploration activities, shared Eyesea technology with the captain and crew to monitor and recover plastic trash found on their voyages. Eyesea, in partnership with environmental Paz Recycling, has concluded a pilot program to monitor and manage coastal waste in Patagonia using satellite image spectometry from Eyesea member Grundo . The initiative, launched as part of SalmonChile AG’s open innovation challenge Observatorio de Playas, aims to enhance coastal surveillance and optimize cleanup operations. our team from Frente Insular RMG , went on an expedition this week for the Galapagos Infinito Program with the young generations of Galapagos in what is aimed to be an awareness , educational and ocean clean up expedition. we are very proud of the work the team is doing there ! and this shows the power of communities working together and being empowered trough technology
