#HumansofFactor. Meet Patrycja Kiczak, Contract Review Utility Manager at Factor! It's an exciting time to work in contract review. The integration of AI into our work over the past year has been transformative. Tools like Mosaic (Factor’s contract extraction, interpretation and reasoning tool) have revolutionized how we handle contract reviews, reducing timelines from months to weeks. As I manage my team of nine handling complex projects from mergers and acquisitions to regulatory compliance, I've seen firsthand how AI enhances our efficiency while allowing us to focus on strategic decision-making and quality control. My fascination with AI extends beyond the office. I've embraced tools like ChatGPT as my personal assistant, always engaging with it in a polite, conversational manner – I find this approach leads to more accurate and effective assistance. Recently, it helped me plan my solo adventure to Warsaw, where I attended my first international Zumba dance fiesta. I took master classes with my favorite instructor, Agnieszka, alongside teachers from around the world – which was an amazing experience and far outside my comfort zone! Zumba has been my constant companion for 14 years, a four-times-a-week ritual that clears my mind after intense project days. But there's another passion in my life that might surprise people – I'm an avid speedway racing fan, a tradition passed down from my grandfather. The live events are an intense sensory experience – from the thunderous roar of the engines to the unique smell of the racing environment. While my work life is all about structure and precision, these passions are a wonderful release. There's something magical about the contrast – the raw energy of speedway racing and the freedom of movement in Zumba class that help my brain switch off after the working day. From spring to autumn, my weekends are filled with the thrill of racing and family gatherings at the stadium. During the off-season, Zumba keeps my energy flowing and stress at bay. At Factor, I love seeing clients return project after project based on our successful deliveries. And just as I build those lasting client relationships at work, my hobbies have created their own special bonds - from sharing my love of speedway with my young nephew to the sense of community at Zumba parties, building meaningful relationships is at the heart of everything I do. Being AI-enabled won't change that!

Realizing the true potential of generative AI in legal workflows requires a paradigm shift in how legal departments view technology. GenAI's role in legal contracting goes beyond basic data extraction to intelligent delegation - interpreting, analyzing, and offering actionable insights based on complex legal criteria. At our recent webinar, Factor's Jessica Block urged legal departments to begin to trust and utilize AI-driven tools for these advanced functions to enable efficient, accurate, and strategic management of contracts. Whether analyzing critical data management obligations or answering compliance questions raised by upcoming regulations such as the EU AI Act and DORA, these tools transform months of manual contract review into strategic, data-driven insights. How can legal teams truly harness AI to drive impact? By embedding AI within existing business context and communication layers. At our recent webinar, Factor's Hitesh Talwar highlighted the need for AI to be grounded in the specific business environment in which it operates. AI tools should seamlessly integrate with the current systems and workflows of its users, rather than requiring users to adapt to new, standalone technology platforms. Missed the webinar? #HumansofFactor. Meet Amy McDermott! Amy is a Marketing Manager at Factor who recently competed in the 2024 HYROX Dublin event (pictured with her partner, Desi). "I discovered HYROX through my gym a couple of years ago. It's a unique race format where you're really competing against yourself – eight challenging stations like sled pushes, pulls, and burpee broad jumps, each separated by 1km runs. While you can compete solo, I compete in the doubles competition with my partner, Desi, whom I actually met at the gym! We now have two HYROX competitions under our belt – Copenhagen and Dublin. While Copenhagen gave us the perfect excuse for a mini-holiday, Dublin was special as we were accompanied by about 40 others from our gym community, and we had Desi's sister cheering us on. We even hit a personal best of 1:11:22, beating our Copenhagen time! After trying various team sports, I found my home in the gym – a place where I could focus solely on my own progress. This led me to unexpected achievements, including becoming the Irish Indoor Rowing Champion for 1000 meters a couple of years ago! When our gym became a HYROX affiliate, it felt like a natural progression. The format perfectly suits me – low-skill, high-endurance workouts that challenge you while being accessible to anyone. Training with Desi has added another dimension to our relationship. We sync our schedules for early morning classes, practice transitions, and push each other to improve. The gym has become more than just a place to work out – it's a thriving community where relationships are built through shared experiences, from post-class coffees to our upcoming black-tie Christmas ball. This sense of community resonates with my work at Factor, where I help bring together legal and business leaders at industry events. Both environments show how shared experiences and mutual support can create lasting connections and drive success. Starting my days at 5:15 am in the gym might sound intense, but it sets me up perfectly for work. By the time I reach my desk, I'm energized and ready to tackle anything. Whether it's HYROX competitions, weightlifting, or just a solid cardio session, this balance keeps me driven both personally and professionally."
