FailedFest reposted this
In our recent edition of BusinessQ, we share how FailedFest shows that business “messes” can lead to surprising successes. Two years ago, the idea of FailedFest began to stew — an event that embraces entrepreneurs’ failures rather than sugarcoating them. But it wasn’t until last December, when FailedFest co-founder Lindsey Ivie 💭 had to shut the doors of her own startup, that “failure” became more than just a word in the dictionary. “That’s when it hit hard — I could identify with it more,” Lindsey says. “I went through this mourning process, and to try to separate your identity from the brand you just built is hard. I took a few months off to process that. Now is the time to help others with those types of conversations.” FailedFest held its first event on Dec. 12 and won’t be a one-time gathering. The crew has launched the Failed Founders Club, with plans for pop-ups, retreats, events, newsletters and a podcast. #failedfest #utahevents #networking #utahnetworking
