February Town Hall Highlights at Fairmont Century Plaza! This month’s Town Hall was filled with celebrations and appreciation as we came together to recognize key milestones and incredible achievements: - Black History Month – We honored this important month with a special video featuring our employees sharing how they celebrate Black History Month with their families. - Engineering Week – A week dedicated to celebrating the hardworking team that keeps our hotel running smoothly. - Fairmont Spa's Forbes 5-Star Achievement – For the third consecutive year, our spa has maintained the prestigious Forbes 5-star rating—an outstanding accomplishment! - Heartist of the Month Recognition – Congratulations to: Omar Romero, Overnight Security Agent – Front of House Heartist of the Month; and Joseph Gonzales, In-Room Dining Cashier – Heart of House Heartist of the Month. - February Birthdays – We wrapped up our celebration with a delicious red velvet cake from our talented pastry team! Thank you to all our Heartists for your dedication and contributions!

Aloha Friday at Fairmont Century Plaza – Celebrating New Beginnings! At Fairmont Century Plaza, we take pride in seeing our Heartists grow within the Fairmont family. This week, we hosted a special Aloha Friday reception to celebrate two of our incredible team members as they embark on exciting new journeys: - Dakota Carter - Overnight Manager – originally from Hawaii, is heading to Fairmont Kea Lani in Maui as their Housekeeping Manager. - Sandy Hsu - Revenue Manager – is making the move to Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park to become their Director of Revenue Management. With leis, floral shirts, Hawaiian and Chicago-inspired signature drinks, and passed hors d’oeuvres, we sent them off in true Fairmont style! Their hard work, dedication, and talent have left a lasting impact on our team, and while we will miss them, we are thrilled to see them grow within the company. Best of luck, Dakota and Sandy! We can’t wait to see all that you accomplish in your new roles.

A Sweet Start to the Day: February’s Heartist Appreciation Celebration At Fairmont Century Plaza, we believe in recognizing and celebrating our Heartists for their dedication and hard work. For February’s edition of Heartist Appreciation Day, our Talent & Culture team wrapped up the month of love on a sweet note by welcoming our Heartists to work with a warm and comforting treat - pan dulces and rich hot chocolate! This monthly tradition is our way of expressing gratitude, fostering connection, and creating moments of joy for our incredible team. A Special Visit & A Prestigious Achievement at Fairmont Century Plaza This week, we had the honor of welcoming Peter Humig, our Fairmont West Coast Americas Vice President of Operations, to Fairmont Century Plaza. During his visit, we took the opportunity to celebrate a truly remarkable achievement - our Spa team, under the outstanding leadership of Alison Kirsten, Director of Spa and Wellness, has once again secured the prestigious Forbes 5-Star Award for the third consecutive year! To mark this incredible milestone, Peter personally presented our Spa team with special Forbes 5-Star gold pins, a well-deserved recognition of their dedication to excellence in luxury wellness and hospitality. Congratulations to our Spa team for their unwavering commitment to delivering world-class experiences - your passion and expertise continue to shine!

Celebrating Engineering Week at Fairmont Century Plaza! Last week, we had the pleasure of honoring our exceptional Engineering team during Engineering Week, culminating in a well-deserved luncheon for the entire department. Our engineers enjoyed luxury banquet service and had the chance to take home some fantastic raffle prizes—a small token of appreciation for their dedication and hard work. It was also a meaningful moment for our leadership team to express gratitude for the expertise and effort our engineers put in every day to keep our hotel running seamlessly. Overnight Appreciation Night at Fairmont Century Plaza! Last night, our leadership team came together to celebrate and appreciate our incredible overnight colleagues at Fairmont Century Plaza! Leaders from the Executive Office, Food & Beverage, Front Office, Housekeeping, Sales, Engineering, and more showed up with In-N-Out burgers, milkshakes, and fries—a true Southern California classic—to serve and thank our dedicated night team for their hard work. A huge shoutout to our overnight colleagues for keeping our hotel running seamlessly while the city sleeps. Your commitment and dedication do not go unnoticed!

Breakfast Tacos to Start the Day Right! At Fairmont Century Plaza, we believe in starting the day with great food and even better company! This morning, our Talent & Culture team had the pleasure of serving up delicious breakfast Tacos to our heartists as a token of appreciation for their hard work and dedication. It was the perfect way to kick off the day and fuel our team for success. This month, we welcomed the Year of the Snake with a vibrant Lunar New Year celebration at our Townhall! Our beautifully decorated ballroom set the stage for an event filled with tradition, joy, and prosperity. We introduced Lunar New Year customs to our Heartists and ended the celebration with lucky Lì Xì envelopes to wish everyone a successful and abundant year ahead. We also took this opportunity to recognize our outstanding Heartist of the Month winners: - Front of House: Alex De Pina Marchi, our Fairmont Gold Attendant, whose personalized service consistently turn moments into special memories for our Fairmont Gold guests - Heart of House: Kyle Hinkson, our dependable Tournant, known for his composure and reliability in the Lumière Brasserie kitchen. The Talent and Culture team at Fairmont Century Plaza had the incredible opportunity to visit The People Concern and serve dinner to its residents last Friday. It was an evening filled with warmth as we served meals restaurant-style to create a special dining experience. We capped off the evening with freshly baked cookies from our hotel, spreading a little extra sweetness to those who needed it most. We are proud to support a meaningful organization that provides vital services to those experiencing homelessness and poverty in Los Angeles. Giving back is at the heart of what we do, and moments like these remind us of the power of community and compassion.
