Happy Thanksgiving! Our offices are closed today and tomorrow to allow staff time with families and friends. We look forward to serving you on Monday.
About us
Mission: Family & Children Services "supports, strengthens and preserves the safety, well-being and dignity of children, individuals and families." For over 114 years Family & Children Services has been the voice of concern and compassion for our most vulnerable citizens. A 24-member Board of Directors and staff of 200 take the Agency's mission very personally and commit every day to being a 'Source of Hope' to those we serve. Family & Children Services responds to each community's changing human service needs and invites community members to join us through donation and volunteer service. The Agency offers a continuum of child welfare, behavioral health and crisis services as one organization - board, staff and foster parents - with a unity of purpose. All services are strength-based and client-centered, supporting individuals and families as they create health changes in their lives. Best practice human service delivery is Family & Children Services' strong signature in the community!

Thank you so much to The Sophisticated Ladies for donating a Thanksgiving meal to one of our client families of 8! The Sophisticated Ladies are a group of working ladies that get together every month to have dinner and enjoy good fun and great company. They decided this year they wanted to make a difference in the lives of our community so they reached out about partnering with a client family to deliver a delicious meal for Thanksgiving. Groups like these are testament to the fact that a small group of people can make a huge difference. Thank you! Recently our Foster Care staff participated in the Bruin Boo at Kellogg Community College. They were there to cheer on all the families enjoying the evening together and to tell the community about the need for foster parents! With almost 10,000 Michigander children in need of foster parents, the need is great. If you are interested in learning more about foster parenting, click here! https://lnkd.in/gCPbQrAz

We are grateful for everyone who has joined us in our effort to support our clients in a myriad of ways. We are about to begin our HANDLE WITH CARE campaign for 2025.
