Last month, FamilyForward’s board members came together for their annual retreat—a time dedicated to reflection, collaboration, and connection. During the retreat, they assembled sensory kits to support our clients and honored three incredible members—Jan Hess, Steve Goldstein, and Megan Bittle—for their years of service and unwavering commitment to FamilyForward’s mission. Their dedication continues to inspire and strengthen our work. 💙

After 10 years of dedicated service, FamilyForward's Chief Development Officer Jessica Dederer is embarking on her next chapter. Jessica has been instrumental in leading our development efforts and raising crucial awareness and support for the children and families we serve. From shaping FamilyForward's brand identity during the 2017 merger and overseeing cherished events like the Rocket Ball to securing funding for the renovation of the Developmental Trauma Center and the Lesley Ann Waldheim Early Childhood Center, her contributions have left a lasting legacy. 👏 Jessica truly embodies our value of being out front—leading with integrity, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to our mission. We wish her all the best in her future endeavors and are grateful for her leadership and vision. Thank you, Jessica, for everything. You will be greatly missed. 💙

FamilyForward reposted this
Leaving this here for any parent, teacher, therapist, or occupational therapy provider who might be supporting a child or teen with eating stresses this holiday season (or during any important gathering in the future). Gathering with loved ones should be about making memories and building connections, not about number of bites or kissing new foods. The trauma-focused OTs at FamilyForward hope that you're able to center the relationships and attunement that bring felt-safety and a sense of belonging during this (and every) upcoming season!
