Updates

  • Farm Credit of Florida is pleased to announce that its Board of Directors has elected John Gregory as the new Chief Executive Officer, effective February 3, 2025. This decision follows an extensive nationwide search process. Gregory will succeed Marcus Boone, who announced his retirement in June 2024. John Gregory brings a wealth of experience in the banking and financial services industry. He has spent 12 years at Farm Credit of Northwest Florida, including three years as CEO. Throughout his career, Gregory has worked with farmers and ranchers nationwide, holding various leadership positions within the agriculture-focused financial services sector. His extensive background includes roles as a loan officer, special assets manager, and capital markets officer, providing him with a deep understanding of Farm Credit and its mission. “I am grateful and excited to be the next CEO of Farm Credit of Florida,” said John Gregory. “As a multi-generation Floridian, I care about the state and the role Farm Credit plays in it. I will do all that I can to grow Farm Credit of Florida into the future through serving all our current and potential members.” Marcus Boone has served FCFL for nearly 12 years, guiding the organization to record profits and payouts to members as Chief Lending Officer and then as President and Chief Executive Officer. His nearly 45-year career in the Farm Credit System has been marked by significant contributions and leadership. “The board is deeply grateful to Marcus for his many years of service to the Farm Credit System, Farm Credit of Florida, and for his leadership of the Association as CEO. We are extremely grateful for Marcus’ many contributions and look forward to continuing to work with him throughout the transition process,” said Bob Lines, Farm Credit of Florida Board of Directors Chairman. Lines continued, “As we celebrate Marcus Boone's remarkable legacy, we look forward with enthusiasm to the future under John Gregory's leadership. His vision and expertise will lead Farm Credit of Florida towards continued success and growth.” https://hubs.li/Q02-0L3V0

  • Our Ocala lenders, Mona Colvin and Tasha West, recently visited Lexington, KY, for the renowned Keeneland thoroughbred sales. They met with borrowers and friends during their visit, witnessing the vibrant horse market in action. With its growing equestrian culture, Ocala, FL, has a strong connection with the state of Kentucky. Both are key players in the horse industry, and thoroughbreds from Florida often end up in Kentucky sale rings, highlighting the great relationship between these two hubs. This event was a fantastic chance to build connections and see our borrowers’ hard work pay off. We’re proud to be part of the Florida equestrian scene. Whether you’re buying a farm, want to refinance, need new equipment, or need improvements, we offer competitive financing for all your equine needs.
