Federated Members Recognized for Excellence Two Federated Auto Parts members were honored with prestigious awards in recognition of their outstanding commitment to the success of vital Federated initiatives. The awards were presented during the recent Automotive Parts Services Group (The Group) national conference held last in Las Vegas. https://lnkd.in/eKcqKTJN

Federated Member Cliff Hovis Recognized with AWDA Outstanding Leadership Award   Cliff Hovis, president of Federated member Hovis Auto & Truck Supply, was honored with the AWDA Outstanding Leadership Award named in honor of Jack Creamer. This prestigious award was presented to Hovis at the annual AWDA reception held in Las Vegas on Nov. 4. This annual award recognizes an individual employed in the aftermarket, who over the past several years has made a unique and monumental contribution to the industry and/or the association. The accomplishment that warrants this award must go well above and beyond any routine or day-to-day activity and shall be reflective of a commitment to the industry that few individuals can match. This award is to be perceived as the industry's highest honor/recognition.

Sue Godschalk has been named chief executive officer of Federated Auto Parts, one of the largest auto parts distribution and marketing organizations in North America. Following a vote by the Federated executive committee on Oct. 23, it was decided that Godschalk, president of Federated Auto Parts, will ascend to the CEO role as of January 1, 2025, replacing retiring CEO Larry Pavey. During her 39-year career at Federated Auto Parts, Godschalk has held several management and financial roles of increasing responsibility, including office manager, assistant general manager, treasurer and vice president, before being named president in 2020. Early in her career, she worked as a jobber store manager, learning the business from the ground up before joining Federated soon after it was formed. “Federated has been on a path of sustained growth and my goal is to continue the successful strategies that have led us in such a positive direction,” said Godschalk. “I am proud to lead a team of so many talented professionals at Federated who are dedicated to enhancing value for our members, strengthening relationships with our supplier partners, and collaborating with our APSG partners at The Alliance and The Pronto Network. I look forward to the great things we will accomplish together.” The Automotive Parts Services Group (APSG) is a joint partnership between the Federated Alliance and The Pronto Network and is made up of 300 member companies with over 5,000 locations and 80,000 employees primarily in North America.

Leadership Changes at The Group The Automotive Parts Services Group (The Group) announced today that Jeff Koviak will assume the role of CEO effective January 1, 2025, replacing retiring CEO Larry Pavey.    The Group is a joint partnership between the Federated Alliance and The Pronto Network and is made up of 300 member companies with over 5,000 locations and 80,000 employees primarily in North America. In his new role, Koviak will be dedicated to driving strategic initiatives for The Group membership that will maximize future revenue growth while simultaneously streamlining internal systems and resources to reduce redundancy throughout the organizations. “We feel Jeff is the ideal candidate to move The Group toward the original goal of strategically unifying the traditional aftermarket partners while still respecting the unique strengths that each of the individual groups offer in their marketplace,” said Sue Godschalk, president of Federated Auto Parts. “Jeff comes to us with an exceptional background,” added Robert Roos, president and CEO of The Pronto Network. “During his 30-year career at Tenneco/DRiV, he built strong, long-term, trusting relationships with all of our members, and we are excited to have him join forces with our teams.”
