Robert Reich’s 10 Economic Myths Debunked series has taken us on quite a journey. Throughout the series, we’ve seen how Reich needs to misrepresent our ideas—or ignore them entirely—to make his points. Will Myth #10 be any different? ✍ By Patrick Carroll: https://lnkd.in/eewvURev

Inspire, educate, and connect future leaders with the economic, ethical, and legal principles of a free society.
About us
Founded in 1946, the Foundation for Economic Education is America's oldest "free enterprise" research and educational institute, headquartered first in Irvington, New York and now Atlanta, Georgia. Its missions is to inspire, educate, and connect future leaders with the economic, ethical, and legal principles of a free society. It focuses primarily on reaching people through seminars, publications, daily content, social media, and online lectures. A core component of the Foundation's message is the critical, indispensable connection between character, liberty, and a free economy. FEE is sustained entirely by the voluntary, tax deductible contributions of other foundations, individuals, and businesses who believe that character, liberty, and a free economy are worth supporting.

🇨🇦 Earlier this month, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau began a US-Canada economic summit designed to improve his country’s economic climate. Canada’s political landscape is shifting. After nearly a decade in office, Trudeau has announced his resignation, with the Party leadership election scheduled for March 9. Trudeau’s legacy will be marred by soaring taxes and a Canadian economy that many now describe as being on “life support.” The country’s healthcare provision is the weakest part of its economy. ✍ By Nikolai Wenzel: https://lnkd.in/gdMhC3bj

Many debates on trade policy overlook fundamental economic principles. Economist Douglas A. Irwin outlined three key insights: tariffs function as a tax on both imports and exports, businesses are also consumers affected by trade restrictions, and trade imbalances reflect investment flows rather than economic defeat.
