We're not crying, you're crying! When Berru Merve Kul, a visually impaired 22-year-old woman, walked onto the stage during her graduation ceremony, the staff at the university also invited her mother, Havva. Havva was presented with an honorary degree from the University of Sakarya in Turkey for reading her daughter’s lecture notes to her during her four-year course in law. She helped her with homework as well, as the university didn’t have the resources to help visually impaired students. Without Havva's perseverance, her daughter's dream of becoming a lawyer may not have been realized. Bravo!

Oscar-winning actress Michelle Yeoh opened up about her infertility journey—one that nearly 11% of women of reproductive age will experience as well—and how she eventually learned to stop blaming herself. Speaking candidly on the topic, Hollywood star or not, can prove to be healing and lead women to their own unique forms of acceptance. 🎥 BBC

Olivia Munn, diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer in early 2023, came to realize that speaking about her battle was incredibly healing for others. Like so many other challenges, speaking about something and letting others truly feel that they aren’t alone can make a world of difference. ♥️

Work friends that are actually so much more than that are one of life’s greatest gifts. To work together toward a common goal, celebrate wins, trudge through challenges, and support each other through it all is something so incredibly special. And it can't help but show in the end product! There’s already so much love for the #Wicked film, and we think it’s safe to credit the love and friendship between these two co-stars. Who’s going to see it this weekend?! 🙋♀️

How do we fuel the future of women in motorsports? It starts at events like the British Indoor Karting Championship (BIKC), the largest single motorsport competition in the world, with over 5,300 participants across categories. This year, Freya Lally made history as the only female driver ever to reach the Grand Finals, securing a top 10 finish in the Cadets and earning a fully funded Club100 championship seat—the next step on the UK karting ladder. Freya’s achievement is a testament to the growing presence of women in motorsports, with female participation in the BIKC surging 400%. In our shared mission to accelerate gender equality, The Female Quotient and Formula 1 Academy are sparking bold conversations and taking action. Let’s come together to challenge the status quo and ignite change, on and off the track. Join us today in the #EqualityLounge @ #LasVegasGP with trailblazers and conscious leaders taking action to close the gender gap in racing 🏎 RSVP: https://lnkd.in/g28NzFuG

📚 Must-read! Artificial intelligence is shaping the future, but it’s not without flaws. Bias in AI is real, reflecting and amplifying systemic inequalities. Dr. Joy Buolamwini, Founder of The Algorithmic Justice League, is on a mission to change that. She’s exposing the social implications of AI and advising leaders on how to reduce harm and build systems that are fair, just, and equitable for all. At our inaugural Women in AI Summit she shared a powerful reminder: “If you have a face, you have a place in the conversation about AI!” Her message is clear—AI affects us all, and we have the right to demand better. Want to know how she challenged the tech world and made algorithmic bias a global issue? Pick up the newly released paperback edition of her national bestseller, #UnmaskingAI, available now at www.unmasking.ai. Women are driving critical change in #AI, and this is just the beginning. Together, we can build a future that will benefit everyone.

Meet one fab fifth grader. Eniola Shokunbi collaborated with classmates and scientists from the University of Connecticut to develop an air filtering system that eliminates 99% of airborne viruses like the cold and COVID-19. The Environmental Protection Agency tested the innovation, validated its efficacy, and shortly after, Connecticut’s State Bond Commission granted $11.5 million to install the units in schools statewide. Amazing work to keep students safe and healthy!

At the Women in AI Summit, hosted by The Female Quotient and ATTN:, we gathered a dynamic lineup of leaders to ignite a bold vision: a future where women don’t just participate in AI—they lead its transformation. AI holds the power to redefine industries, amplify creativity, and expand human potential. But unlocking its full promise requires diverse voices at the helm, driving innovation and ensuring responsible progress. The speakers at the summit embodied this vision, showing us what’s possible when women lead with expertise, collaboration, and purpose. This is our moment to shape the future—to elevate women’s leadership in AI, foster inclusion, and ensure that technology reflects the diversity of the world it serves. Together, we’re not just imagining what’s next; we’re building it.
