A few years ago, who would’ve thought #AI would be changing the way we do everything? If someone had told me back then that I could type a few prompts into tools like ChatGPT, Jasper.AI, or Perplexity and get instant, useful results, I probably would’ve said, “No way!” But here we are, and it’s clear that this technology is a game-changer as we all know it. In field service, AI is transforming how things get done. Companies like Lytx, Inc., Zuper, Field Squared, and Gomocha are showing how predictive maintenance, real-time diagnostics, and smarter scheduling are not just ideas - they’re reality. According to "The State of AI in Field Service" report - https://bit.ly/4fY2oCe, most organizations are already seeing real benefits - higher customer satisfaction, more productive teams, and operations running smoother than ever. Leaders like Alfred Zhu at The Middleby Corporation and Kevin Hilbert CFSP at Henny Penny are proving how impactful AI can be when it’s thoughtfully implemented. Of course, it’s not all easy. Challenges like integrating AI with older systems or getting everyone on board show there’s still a long way to go. But what really stands out to me is how companies are using AI not just to speed things up but to work smarter. It’s not just about the tech; it’s about the people behind it and the customers who benefit from it. Throwing it back to Field Service Palm Springs this past year, where service leaders like Haroon Abbu from Bell and Howell, Dr. Marlene Kolodziej, DBA, ITIL from Ricoh USA, Inc., Josh Zolin from Windy City Equipment (WCE, Inc), Brett Nelson from ABB, and Caryn Woodruff from IBM shared their thoughts on this very topic. Their insights into how AI is not just a tool but a driver of strategic decision-making were incredibly inspiring. When you think about how far we’ve come, it’s exciting and maybe a little overwhelming to imagine where we’ll be in a few years. What do you think? Is AI living up to the hype, or are we just scratching the surface of its potential? #FieldService #AI #DigitalTransformation #FSPS
