FirstNet is a single, interoperable, highly secure wireless broadband communications network for America’s fire, law enforcement, EMS and other public safety personnel. Last month, the First Responder Network Authority headed to the Northern Mariana Islands for a communications exercise and to demonstrate how FirstNet can support public safety. The goal of the exercise was to discuss and demonstrate communication policies, procedures, plans, assets, and capabilities that agencies use in response to significant multi-jurisdictional incidents.
