Yesterday we successfully deployed 13 electric school buses at El Dorado Springs R-2 Schools, first school district in Missouri, and one of only a few in the country, to transition its entire fleet of regular education bus routes to electric. These buses will provide a cleaner, quieter and safer ride for hundreds of students. “With zero emissions, improved air quality and reduced noise pollution, the deployment of these electric school buses will have an immediate, positive impact on the community,” Head of Electrification Kevin Matthews said. Joining the celebration were John Billigmeier, Aimee Sides, David Weller, Area Maintenance Manager John Miller, Ami Parikh, AICP, El Dorado Springs Superintendent Brad Steward and US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 7 Air Division Deputy Directory Lachala Kemp, as well as members from the school board and city officials. #caringforstudents #focusonsafety.
