We're taking time this November to be thankful and recognize the contributions of those who help us move #FirstGenForward. Our #ThankfulThursday post this week focuses on the Journal of First-generation Student Success and its editorial team: Rashné Jehangir, Kem Saichaie, Radomir Ray Mitic, Jason K. Wallace, and Michelle Rossi. Thank you for your tireless work cultivating articles that are innovative, imaginative, and forward thinking regarding the experiences and outcomes of #FirstGen. The #FirstGenForward office will be closed Wednesday, November 27, through Friday, November 29. Our staff will be unavailable, and our customer service channels will be unmonitored. This holiday offers an opportunity both to share gratitude and to deepen understanding of the ongoing legacy of colonialism and erasure embedded in narratives about Thanksgiving in the U.S. The Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian offers resources to consider this legacy at bit.ly/4fVjq3y.
