Sana Biotechnology, Inc. shares research accepted for publication in iScience on the potential of their pioneering hypoimmune (HIP) platform technology.
We’re thrilled to announce that our groundbreaking research on the potential of our hypoimmune (HIP) platform technology has been accepted for publication in iScience! The paper, “The HIP mouse and all of its organs are completely invisible to allogeneic immune cells,” demonstrates a remarkable breakthrough: the hypoimmune edits, previously shown to work in specific cell types like T cells, islets, cardiomyocytes, endothelial, and smooth muscle cells, are effective across an entire organism. In this study, we successfully created a whole hypoimmune mouse and uncovered three key findings: Safety: Mice are born healthy, and reproduction is unaffected. Health: The mice remain healthy throughout their lifespan. Immune Evasion: The entire body—organs, tissues, and all—avoids immune rejection in the parabiosis model. This achievement represents a significant leap forward in our understanding of immune evasion and the potential of the HIP platform to revolutionize transplantation, regenerative medicine, and beyond. Congratulations to the entire team for this extraordinary milestone! Together, we’re changing what’s possible for patients. Congratulations to the team at #FlagshipFounded Repertoire Immune Medicines on the publication of an article on the discovery and function of a novel KIR+ CD8+ regulatory T cell in tumors from melanoma patients published in Nature Portfolio Immunology.
Delighted that #NatureImmunology published our article describing the discovery and function of a novel KIR+ CD8+ regulatory T cell in #tumors from #melanoma patients. Conducted in collaboration with Yale School of Medicine and using our proprietary DECODE™ platform to determine the specificity of T cells in the tumor, we gained unique insights into the role of KIR+ CD8+ regulatory T cells as mediators of immune evasion in #cancer and other factors associated with clinical outcomes in patients. #tcell #DECODE Congratulations to the Repertoire team, David Hafler, and the entire Yale team.
