Our team encompasses a broad range of services designed to provide our clients with a one-stop-shop consultant. Providing a wide range of services allows us to design custom-fit solutions and award-winning projects - on time and on budget. Our growth has been an outcome of hiring the best people, doing great work, and focusing on client relationships. Meet Sam, our GIS expert who loves uncovering hidden gems from the past as part of his role! “I am constantly reviewing old records, imagery, etc. to help me develop a community's GIS. Sometimes, this leads me down a fun rabbit hole where I find interesting details or pictures about the communities we work with,” he said. While working on Lake County data, Sam stumbled upon the Village of Marlborough, founded in 1902 by the Great Northern Portland Cement Co. The village may be long gone, but its cement remnants still show up in aerial images today! Sam also digs into history with cemetery projects, like the Fairview Cemetery. During research, Sam found a 1900’s photo and couldn’t resist capturing a comparison shot of the site today. #GISDay

F&V joined the Village of Vermontville on Tuesday for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the community's newly updated park. The improvements include a new playground structure, safety fall zones with rubber mulch, an all-season restroom, and a drinking fountain. F&V is proud to have assisted with grant funding and the design of the project. We hope the community enjoys the space for many years to come.
