𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲? I love working with so many different specialties in the OR. I work with X-Ray, Ultrasound, and CathLab techs almost daily, and I love that so many of us come together every day to help patients and get the best outcome. 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿? Traveling has helped me develop skills in different surgeries that I never had before. I have learned to scrub for Vascular Surgery, Neurosurgery, and Orthopedics, all things that weren’t offered where I trained and worked before traveling. It makes me be better as a tech, and helps me be a resource at different facilities when I might know something that could help with a situation uncommon to that OR. It’s really helped me show new things to different hospitals and share knowledge. 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗿, 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗽 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲? I say do it! It’s tough, and that first assignment will test you in a lot of ways, but it’s so worth it. I have made so many friends in my travels, and learned so many new things that help me be a better tech. I love seeing new cities and traveling through the outdoors, and traveling gives me the ability to live in each place for enough time to learn so much about it and try new things I never would have known about. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲? FlexCare has so many opportunities for me, and my recruiter has been so helpful with anything I need. The rates are great, I am always able to talk to someone when I have questions or issues, and I have never felt unsupported. I am happy to say that I have worked with FlexCare for every contract I’ve had as a traveler and have never regretted picking them as my agency.
