Flint Hills Resources was thrilled to be the title sponsor of this year’s Corpus Christi Coastal Conservation Association’s Poco Rojo Kids Fishing Tournament. A lot of fun was had by all of the kids participating in this year’s event and maybe even more fun was had by our Flint Hills Resources Corpus Christi employees! The winner of the tournament was a young female angler who reeled in a 37 inch fish!

Time well spent with our colleagues and fellow community members at the Minnesota Wild’s Corporate Partnership Summit. We can’t wait for the second year of the Wild About Reading program sponsored by Flint Hills Resources coming in January! Bonus that the event was held at the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts, a Flint Hills’ partner for 25 years.

Last night a team from the Flint Hills Resources Pine Bend refinery joined business and community leaders from across Dakota County for the 10th annual “Business Excellence Awards” hosted by the Dakota County Regional Chamber of Commerce. A highlight of the evening was the Legacy Award going to Ann Bailey, Executive Director of DARTS Healthy Aging Solutions, a partner of Flint Hills for 25+ years. Congratulations to Ann and to the DCR Chamber for continuing to be a strong advocate for business.

Last weekend we conducted an emergency response drill at our Pine Bend refinery in Minnesota with some of our public safety partners. It is important that we prepare and practice our emergency response plans and we're fortunate that our partners were alongside us as we drill for any situation. It was also great to have two members of our Community Advisory Council take time out of their days to observe, both in the field and in our emergency operations center, as we worked through the exercise.

The Flint Hills Resources team from the Corpus Christi area was up bright and early supporting the Special Olympics Texas - South Texas Area “Clays on the Bay”. We not only had employees participating in the clay shoot, our Cook Team was there serving breakfast and took First Place in the cooking contest! Needless to say, a lot of fun was had supporting this important event and long standing community partner. #Stewardship #partnership #corpuschristi #coastalbend

We were proud to support one of our great customers this week as they brought together their vendors/business partners and employees for Kwik Trip, Inc.’s Kwik Chase 2024. We’re happy to play a role as they continue to grow and will celebrate 60 years in business!

Today was a special one for us as we joined our friends at Dakota County as our veterans cut the ribbon on the first segment of the Veterans Memorial Greenway trail. Flint Hills Resources was proud to be able to support these efforts by donating a portion of land to help make the greenway a reality. The trail will honor those who have served our country through military service and will be a fantastic space for all who live and work in the area to enjoy. A special thank you to our friends at DARTS Healthy Aging Solutions for providing transportation for some of our veterans and to the Dakota County Regional Chamber of Commerce for being there to always support good things taking place in the region!
