Yesterday, FHA president and CEO Mary Mayhew participated on the panel "Historical and Current Trends in Supplemental Payments", moderated by Matt Salo at the Annual Medicaid Coalition Strategic Policy Meeting. Mayhew, alongside Justin Senior, Don Gilbert and Cecile Erwin Young, emphasized the human impact of Medicaid, which plays a large role in ensuring individuals have their health care needs met and can thrive. “Hospitals support critical community programs that subsidize access to and advance medical care. Paying for the commensurate cost of care supports future investments in physician training and ensures we have a strong workforce to keep pace with our state's growing needs.”- Mary C.
