Register now for “The Big Cat Public Safety Act Turns Two” with Michelle Pardo on February 20, 2025, from 1:00 P.M. - 2:00 P.M. December 2024 marked two years since enactment of the Big Cat Public Safety Act. This law changed the exotic animal world by banning most new private ownership of big cats as pets and prohibiting exhibitors from allowing public contact with big cats, including cubs. The law also placed new restrictions on the commerce, breeding, possession, and use of certain big cat species and required those possessing privately owned big cats before the new law to register any big cat(s) that were in their possession. As we approach the two-year mark, we will hear from esteemed animal lawyer Michelle Pardo of Duane Morris about the law’s requirements, its impact, and what the future looks like for these big cats in the U.S. Course number 8603 is approved for 1.0 General CLE credit.
