Cannabis rescheduling is on hold after a judge canceled the hearing. As reported by Chris Roberts of the MJBiz Daily, DEA Chief Judge John Mulrooney II canceled the January 21 hearing, pending an unresolved “interlocutory appeal” to the agency's future administrator. This decision underscores the ongoing challenges in achieving meaningful reform within the cannabis industry. Rescheduling would have helped address crucial issues, including access to banking, equity in regulation, and federal oversight consistency.
