🎯 Flow Best Practices Series (Post 2): Mastering Loops in Salesforce Flow Loops in Salesforce Flow are pivotal for handling multiple records, whether you're updating statuses, sending notifications, or applying widespread changes. Key Components of a Loop: ➡️ Collection Variable: Holds the items for iteration, like a list of contacts or opportunities. ➡️ Loop Variable: Assigns the current item from the collection for individual manipulation. ➡️ Loop Path: Defines the actions for each item, such as updating fields or sending emails. ➡️ Direction: Sets the sequence of iteration, from first to last item or vice versa. Why Place DML and SOQL Outside the Loop? Keeping DML (Data Manipulation Language) and SOQL (Salesforce Object Query Language) operations outside of loops is a best practice aimed at minimizing system load and maximizing efficiency. These operations, essential for creating, updating, deleting, or retrieving records, must be managed carefully to avoid hitting Salesforce's limit of 150 DML statements and 100 SOQL queries per transaction. ✅ See the latest post for more info, including use cases 👇🏼 https://lnkd.in/e-bJ-hFd Stay tuned for more insights in our Flow series! #SalesforceFlow #BestPractices #SalesforceAdmin #FlowLoops #DataManagement

Quick Admin Tip: #Salesforce has updated the System Overview page to enhance visibility into your custom metadata types. Now, you'll find two separate categories for a clearer analysis: "Your Custom Metadata Types" shows counts exclusive of those from certified managed packages, while "Total Custom Metadata Types" includes all, even those installed from such packages. This change aids in better managing and understanding the scope of metadata within your org.
