📣 Introducing: Investor Data Review Efficient data management is crucial for modern fund operations, yet critical information often remains trapped in analog documents or isolated systems. That’s why Flow is continually investing in capabilities that transform data into operating leverage. Our platform makes it easy to collect accurate, structured data from limited partners through digital onboarding workflows and ad-hoc task assignments. Now, this latest release enables fund managers and service providers to effortlessly review and extract this data for use across external systems. Here are just a few things you can do with Investor Data Review: 🔍 Quickly reference individual info: Easily answer questions, access documents, and confirm information about individual LPs directly from their contact records in Flow. 📝 Streamline LP onboarding: Analyze LP subscription information at scale, making it easier for legal counsel to review answers, spot errors, and guide LPs through the digital onboarding process on Flow. 📤 Export data to external systems: Export investor data from Flow to other systems as needed, ensuring seamless integration into your tech stack and preventing the creation of new data silos. 📣 New to Flow: Data Room Download Permissions All too often, fundraising is a major operational burden for private investment teams. Throughout this process, fund managers need to share their investment thesis widely while maintaining strict control over access to sensitive information. Balancing the need for broad communications with effective confidentiality controls demands appropriate tooling. To support this need, we're introducing Data Room Download Permissions, a feature that lets fund managers control whether or not viewers can download documents from a data room. With this new functionality, fund managers can now toggle the ability for viewers to download documents directly from each data room. This setting is applied globally to all documents within a specific data room and can be changed at any time—even after users have been granted access—without the need to resend invite links. Fundraising is hard. We’re here to make it easier. #privatemarkets #privatefunds #datarooms

📣 New to Flow: View-only Permissioning Safeguarding sensitive information while ensuring necessary access is a delicate balance. For many LPs, granting full account access to all team members isn't feasible due to the sensitive nature of the information involved. Yet, keeping everyone in the loop is critical for seamless operations and informed decision-making. To address this, we've introduced View-only Permissioning. This feature allows LPs to designate specific team members with view-only access to their investment accounts. Users with "View-only" status still enjoy comprehensive access to documents, data, and investment profile information for the accounts they're connected to. As the feature name implies, however, they are only able to view this information. They cannot complete subscription documents, edit profile information, or take any other material actions within that investment account.

📣 New to Flow: LP Communication Preferences Investor communications is a delicate balancing act between private investment firms and their LPs. Oversharing can lead to inbox fatigue and disengagement, but under-communicating is often far worse. The challenge of ensuring critical information reaches the right people without overwhelming entire teams with irrelevant details can lead to unnecessary operational complexity for GPs and LPs alike. Investment partners, legal counsel, tax accountants, and third-party fund administrators all require different types of information to be effective in their roles. It's an undeniable burden to ensure communications around capital account statements, tax documents, annual reports, and capital call notices all reach the right people at the right time. That’s why we’re thrilled to introduce LP Communication Preferences to the Flow platform. Investment firms can now tailor communications sent on Flow to the unique needs of each LP team member, based on that individual’s specified preferences. This latest launch is another step forward in our commitment to delivering the best-possible LP experience, with technology to support the complete investment lifecycle on one platform.

Accelerate your fundraise with Flow’s integrated Data Rooms. All too often, fundraising is an arduous process for limited partners and investment firms alike. At Flow, we believe that our customers’ data belongs to our customers. Players in the private markets have enough to worry about without trusted technology partners exploiting data for their own gain. Flow categorically refrains from any practices involving the sale or dissemination of contact or investment data on our platform. “The practice of turning users into products is not uncommon in technology,” says Flow Co-founder Brendan Marshall, “but we firmly believe it is at odds with the foundational principles that underpin the private markets.” We dig deeper into Flow’s relationship with client data in our latest blog post. 🔗 Link in the comments.

"The secondary market for unicorn companies is a tricky thing. In my opinion, Carta never really had the right model because they never addressed the core problems. Selling software which holds sensitive customer data and buying & selling those same customers on your marketplace creates conflicts of interest." Our CEO, Nicholas Grabowski, reflects on Carta's recent challenges in building a secondary marketplace for "unicorns" - highlighting the business' apparent conflict of interest. He urges all software and service providers in the private markets to prioritize client data integrity above other business interests.
