This latest meeting was themed around AI in Project Management, and here are our findings from the event… This is where our attendees are already using AI in project management: ✅ Notes and minute taking - Scribe ai and Otter ai were both common tools discussed ✅ Templates - genAI is being used to create templates for meeting agendas, project initiation documents and more ✅ Document summarisation – using AI to help highlight themes, key topics and points ✅ Return on investment calculations - using AI to deliver indicative ROI calculations and basic cost management quickly ✅ Report drafting - Using AI to collect information and summarise ahead of finalising reports Where our attendees would like to use AI: 🔧 Streamlining processes and reducing admin - processes can be completed more efficiently, allowing the team to focus on human-led tasks 🔧 Risk management and assurance - AI can support the prediction of future risks based on common/reoccurring patterns to help identify gaps in project processes 🔧 Communication and visualisation - Using genAI to create graphics or simplify communications 🔧Predict costs and impact – to use AI to predict future project costs as well as budgetary requirements f The barriers facing the use of AI: 🚧 Shadow IT - Where AI is on lockdown, and the absence of policies may deter decision-makers due to the risks from individuals using their own approaches 🚧 Culture – the fear, uncertainty, resistance to change 🚧 Data quality -we’ll only be able to wholeheartedly trust AI when we know the data is 100% correct But overall, the sentiment about AI was: 🤩 Excited 🤔 Curious 🤷 Unsure/Mixed Feelings 😁 Eager 😬 Nervous Want to come along to our next event?
