  • 🔥 Inference Wars: Can AMD Challenge NVIDIA’s AI Dominance or Risk Intel’s Fate? 🔥 Our latest edition of the Flybridge AI Index is here, diving deep into one of the most pressing questions in AI today: Is AMD ready to shake up the AI accelerator market, or will it stumble where others have before? A huge shoutout to our colleague Daniel Porras Reyes for his meticulous work on this report. His insights peel back the layers of AMD's strategy, from their MI300 series to software battles like ROCm vs. CUDA, and how they’re navigating the shift from training to inference workloads. 🌍 Why this matters: With NVIDIA commanding over 80% of the market, competition is crucial for innovation and resilience. AMD’s potential rise—or fall—will have ripple effects across the entire AI landscape, from startups to hyperscalers. But that’s not all. In this year's AI Index, we're switching things up. Every other month, we’ll go deeper, offering deep dives on specific trends that are shaping the AI frontier—on top of our regular index updates. 🚀 Explore the full update here: https://lnkd.in/efPfJBPm

Is AMD Ready to Challenge NVIDIA’s AI Dominance or Risk Intel’s Fate? As AI shifts from training to inference workloads, AMD is advancing its MI300 series and enhancing the ROCm software ecosystem. But will it be enough to compete with NVIDIA? The February edition of the AI Index offers a deep dive into AMD’s history, strategy, and the $500 billion+ opportunity that could reshape modern computing. The analysis contains unique insights from Siddhant Pardeshi at Blitzy and Waleed Atallah at Mako. Link to full blog post in the comments In February, the AI index, which tracks public companies focusing on generative AI, returned 5.4%. The application layer led with an impressive 11% gain, while the hardware/base layer saw no return. We thank Aiera (Bryan Healey) , an AI-powered equity research platform, for accelerating our data and insight extraction process.

  • Great work from the team at BrightHire!

I’m incredibly proud! 🩷 BrightHire is the * first * interview intelligence platform to complete a comprehensive, independent 3rd-party bias audit. 🙌 It was led by BABL AI, a leading AI auditor with deep expertise in hiring. The audit attests to the consistent performance of our AI features across demographic groups –  and the foundations we have in place for responsible AI development. Me & Theodore Chestnut founded BrightHire with a simple mission: “To give everyone the hiring experience they deserve.” We saw hiring as a sacred moment – for organizations and people. The right opportunity can mean everything to someone’s life. This is why we’ve remained very thoughtful about how we apply AI to hiring – we use it to make *people* in the process more effective. We take our responsibility very seriously. It’s also why today our AI doesn’t make decisions, rank, score, etc. Interestingly, this made auditing our platform for bias very challenging. We tried to get 3rd party auditors to work with us – they didn’t know how. This is because bias audits typically focus on platforms that rank or score candidates – where AI plays a significant, clear role in selection or candidate progression. BrightHire is different. We help clients deliver exceptional hiring, in part by capturing and summarizing interview content to equip hiring teams with objective information to make their own decisions. There was no known audit framework for summarized notes.     It required a novel approach. In partnership with BABL AI we developed a robust, innovative methodology to evaluate the performance of our AI features across demographic groups. The great video below shares some details – but needless to say the team worked extremely hard to get this right – and broke new ground in the process. I’m proud of the team’s effort for a bunch of reasons: 🟣 It’s core to our mission & our 1st company value: put candidates first. 🟣 It demonstrates our commitment to clients: we’re the most enterprise-ready, compliant solution in interview intelligence, by far – and proud of it. 🟣 It reflects how our team operates: relentless, smart, innovative, passionate, and most importantly, mission-driven. Huge thank you to William Leeds & Will Decker who led these efforts 🙏 in the video below they share more about this important effort. And a major thank you to our clients for allowing us to be their trusted partner bringing responsible use of AI 🙏

  • 🎉 Excited to announce that we've open-sourced Flybridge's AI-powered investment memo generator! We built this tool to streamline our investment process, and now we're making it freely available to the entire startup ecosystem. In just 3 minutes, founders and investors can generate comprehensive investment memos from pitch decks and pitch transcripts. What makes this different: - Built on OpenAI's o1 model for thorough analysis - Leverages autonomous AI agents through CrewAI - Provides structured insights on opportunity, risks, business model, GTM, and team - Generates targeted follow-up questions for deeper diligence For founders: Use this to pressure-test your pitch and identify potential gaps before meeting investors. For investors: Save time on routine tasks and focus more energy on what matters most—exercising judgment and building relationships. The code is available on GitHub, and you can try the tool directly on our website. This is part of our commitment to making the fundraising process more efficient and transparent for everyone. Remember - this is meant to augment, not replace, human judgment. We're excited to see how the community uses and improves upon this foundation. Try it out and let us know what you think! 🚀 Special shout-outs to our associate Daniel Porras Reyes for developing this tool. Thank you Melia Russell and Business Insider for sharing: https://lnkd.in/eze7K4GT
