Omer Davidi’s perspective on evolution vs. revolution in agtech truly resonates with us at Foodbytes. As Omer rightly points out, real change in agriculture comes from working alongside stakeholders, not from attempting to disrupt the entire system overnight. At Foodbytes, we firmly believe that lasting impact comes from building partnerships that promote trust, transparency, and shared goals. As Omer shared about BeeHero’s journey: “We recognized that even the most promising changes require patience... Success came from collaboration, not disruption.” This year, we are committed to continuing to foster collaborative innovation, where we work hand-in-hand with innovators and corporates to create sustainable solutions that stand the test of time. Let’s continue working together to shape a more sustainable future for food and agriculture. Evolution vs. Revolution: The AgTech Perspective 🌱🤖 The startup ecosystem is built to disrupt markets in accelerated ways, revisiting historical assumptions and aiming to deliver better solutions. In some industries, words like disruption and revolution are inspiring. But in agriculture, they can feel intimidating—not because people don’t want to improve, but because real change involves so many moving parts, and it takes time. This is especially true in the agricultural space, where bold statements often fall short of reality. We’ve seen this happen also in other industries, where business models are sometimes doomed from the start. But in agriculture, the stakes are even higher. The margin for error is tiny, and the cost of a mistake can be devastating. That’s why adoption for most is slow, validation takes years, and scaling quickly is a significant challenge. At BeeHero, thanks to my brilliant co-founder Itai Kanot, we took a different approach. We recognized that even the most promising changes require patience. Instead of making bombastic claims about revolutionizing agriculture overnight, we focused on evolving alongside our customers, users, and stakeholders. Yes, existing pollination practices are inefficient. Yes, better tools and visibility are desperately needed. But we knew success would come from collaboration, not disruption. This approach helped us become one of the fastest-growing AgTech companies worldwide, and in just four years, we’ve grown to be the largest pollination provider globally. AI plays a crucial role in our success—not as a magic solution but as a tool to support the expertise of farmers, beekeepers, and others who know this space inside and out. We believe in steady progress, grounded in trust, transparency, and real-world validation. What do you think? Is the future of AgTech about bold revolutions or thoughtful evolution? #EvolutionVsRevolution #AI #AgTech #Innovation #BeeHero

We’re thrilled to see Shayna Harris' article on food tech trends for 2025 highlighting the innovations driving growth in the industry. As the article points out, key areas like agricultural biotech, personalized nutrition, molecular farming, and AI-powered automation are reshaping the future of food systems. Our recent report, "Harnessing Sustainable Business Models to Catalyze Growth," dives into similar trends, including how personalized nutrition is transforming food and health. From functional ingredients to tailored supplements, this shift is set to leave a lasting impact on consumer wellness and the food industry. As Caroline Keeley, Executive Director, Partnerships at Foodbytes, notes, "Personalized nutrition has been on the rise for the past few years and food corporates are responding to evolving customer demand with smaller formats, cleaner labels and lower sugar claims. Recently, we note a trend towards industry consolidation with large corporates acquiring ‘better-for-you’ brands catering to the market demand for higher quality and global flavors." We’re also excited to see Foodbytes hub startups and Rabo Ventures portfolio companies Trace Genomics and EarthOptics featured as leaders in leveraging AI and data science to improve soil health and resilience as the industry continues to create more sustainable systems. 👉 Read the full article by Shayna and explore how personalized nutrition and AI-driven innovation are reshaping the food industry: https://lnkd.in/gM3qX-Ea Supply Change Capital #Foodbytes #FoodTech #AgTech #PersonalizedNutrition #Sustainability #Innovation #HealthTech #FoodSystem #FutureOfFood #RaboVentures
