We are proud to announce the discovery of Europe's highest located football field at 2300 meters above sea level ⚽️🌊: Until today it was believed that the Ottmar Hitzfeld Arena in Switzerland was the highest located football field in Europe, but the field at the Sierra Nevada High Altitude Training Centre near Granada, Spain, at the height of 2320 meters drastically beats that record, despite already being around for decades. We recently interviewed this Hammarby fan who has been watching the team since 1969, but most recently started to mainly watch the women's team⚽️ ...And it got a lot of negative comments making fun of (most of which filtered by TikTok) how Hammarby Fotboll AB men's team won 1 league title in that time... But to support a team for so long regardless of whether they win titles or not, that is incredible. It's always easy to support teams when they are winning. But when they are not..., and sticking with them no matter the weather, that's what makes the best football fans, and this negativity is actually a testament to fans. As to TikTok, it's a platform we have started to experiment with a lot lately and plan to put heavy focus on in 2025, trying to figure what kind of content works well, that we like, but that also fits within the very highly limiting regulations around content at many matches around the world. #Hammarby #faninterview #bajen #bajenfans #womenschampionsleague

When we set out to create a football calendar 🗓️⚽️ packed with 365 historic facts, we didn’t just want to highlight iconic events from over a century of this beautiful game. We also wanted to honour the incredible people and stories we’ve encountered along our journey. Take Jimmy, an 80-year-old Bohemian Football Club 🔴⚫️ volunteer in the League of Ireland. We featured him in our Ireland magazine and eventually documentary on the club, and he’s been a regular at Dalymount Park 🏟️ since the 1950s. Naturally it felt right to feature his birthday in the calendar. And because women’s football is a big part of our DNA, we wanted to have as many crucial moments in women’s football, despite how poorly many of the key moments are documented and how difficult it is to find exact dates relating to those moments. “If we are speaking to somebody, ask them how they are, and then ask them a second time.” When we were making our Football is Everywhere Ireland magazine issue a while back we went to visit Head In The Game to talk about mental health in what turned into a 4 page story. Head in the Game was founded after the passing of Dundalk FC's groundsman Harry Taaffe who went to seek help but unfortunately got turned down, as a means to start a conversation about the topic of mental health in the League of Ireland. Today is no longer Mental Health Day, but in reality that day is everyday. Tomorrow the UEFA Women’s Champions League group stage will witness fandom it has never seen before as Hammarby taken on Saint Pölten in their first ever Champions League game. Two years ago today, Ireland's oldest fan owned football club, Bohemian Football Club, tragically lost a beloved volunteer, Mono💔. Last season Mono’s memory was honoured with a mural on Dalymount’s gates and with the naming of the temporary stand in Mono’s name. These clips are some of the snippets of our documentary, Bohemian FC: A Fan Owned Football Club which is available on YouTube, and were amongst the first shots we captured while interviewing the club’s Chief Operating Officer, Daniel Lambert.
