    This comparison was eye opening. During Amel Mechalikh’s presentation at #IIEXLatam she compared a typical open ended text response to a verbal response given by a participant when interviewed by Forelight.ai’s conversational AI interviewer, Leo. Introducing voice allows for richer insights, and I think it’s high time researchers embrace mixing traditional survey design with new question types in this way. Forelight.ai also announced a new small business program during the conference that offers free use of the Forelight platform to small businesses and freelancers who qualify. Link in the comments. When 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝, they often have a seat at the strategic table, 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐧𝐭 in decision-making. In contrast, when distributed across teams, the focus tends to shift more towards execution than strategy.     Event Recap 🎤📝 We are truly grateful to our guest speakers—Katrina Noelle, Ajantha Suriyanarayanan, and Deja J.—and to all the attendees of our recent event, "𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐝 𝐖𝐞 𝐆𝐨 𝐖𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠? which took place last week at Berkeley SkyDeck! The insightful discussions led by industry leaders, real-world case studies, and active participation during the Q&A and networking sessions made the event a success! Here are the 3 key learning of this session: 1. 𝐀𝐈 𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬, 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐬, 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐞: AI aids decision-making but needs human interpretation to ensure accuracy. 2. 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐯𝐬 𝐁𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐂𝐮𝐭𝐬: Despite a reliance on data, companies often reduce their insights teams during budget cuts, showing the difficulty of balancing financial concerns with data-driven strategies. 3. 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬' 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞: As companies become more data-dependent, insights professionals must clearly articulate their crucial role in decision-making to avoid being undervalued during budget constraints.
